This review was written for Platinum Car Wash. It seems that the business was sold to another owner, yet my review now appears under the new business name. I was a customer for 2 years there, starting with the nice $9.99/month deal back then which increased to $14.99. The sign at that time, announcing the increase, said they were instituting a "modest increase". Does anyone think a 50% increase is modest? Okay, so I cancelled that program and started going for the $4.99 single washes instead. Now, a year later, that price is gone too! I am no longer a customer. I instead pay $8 (with an easily available coupon) at another area car wash which includes a touch-less wash (no brushes), full vacuum and interior cleaning, and exterior wipe down. The best part was when I emailed them these same details telling them why they lost me as a customer, they didn't have the courtesy to respond. If your competition can offer a superior wash for $8, a price which you cannot meet, it doesn't bode well for the business! But your new $150k kiosks outside look great! ;-) read more

Every single time I come here it's another story! First time I came I told the guy I didn't know the packages he upgraded me did an amazing job. Ropes me into a monthly package. After that it's been down hill. Next time I got my car cleaned they didn't even bother to vacuum the back seat. I called complained got it done one more time still not satisfied I canceled my membership. So today as I am waiting for my car to be done I was quoted one price for the service the guy calls me midway to tell me it's going to be more money because it doesn't include the seats, and they are too dirty. Glitz car wash on main st Danbury for 37.99 they do your inside and out with the leather seats. And this place is telling me their 49.99 package doesn't include the leather seats. Honestly the only reason I came here today is because I'm leaving on vacation and this is the closest place to do it during my lunch break. I can't stress it enough they rip you off and do a crappy job. read more

The worst car wash in the area. I've been there several times because it's convenient but I always leave regretting it. Very poor service. I usually get the "best" service but there is nothing best about it. The car is never completely clean in the outside. And always left dirty in the inside. read more

Saw the reviews so used them this afternoon. They did a super job and I got through faster than other places, even including the super interior clean. The car looks absolutely clean and bright. Also, the personnel are very friendly and helpful. I'll be back for sure! And I *do* love riding through the car wash; something they put on the windows makes the glass (only while washing) look like a kaleidoscope! read more

$30.00 for the unlimited monthly car wash is a great deal. I'm a busy person, always on the go and always in the car. I take comfort in knowing that I can get in, get out without the fluff of some other car wash and detail shops. The kiosk is easy to use and with me knowing exactly what I want and exactly what I'm getting into the whole process is seamless, quick and easy. I am happy with the job that the staff at Platinum does on their cars. The guys know me by now and make sure to do a good job, up to my standards. I've never had an issue. I just wish that there were some other pricing options besides the monthly that made sense. But otherwise everything is great! read more

I went today to get my new white car washed. I purchased the "good" wash for $12.00. I wanted to try it out before purchasing the unlimited option. Thank God I did. It was HORRIBLE. I paid and had to wait because they were helping someone else use his card to pay, while the workers were on their cell phones. After 11 minutes I finally got to go through. I pulled around and vacuumed my car. As Im walking around it the car was FIlTHY. It looked like I didn't get it washed at all. I went back around and had to wait again. The manager lost his key card. I tried to speak to him but he didn't speak any English. After an eternity, he finally produced a key to unlock the gate and let me go through. The second time I went through the wash, they didn't put the blow dry on so my car was soaking wet. Two workers come over to towel dry my car however, they used dirty towels. I get out to see how clean it came out and there's dirt all over it. I point it out and the employee said "Yeah you need to get the $20 car wash if you want it to be clean." I said, "I got the $12 which was above the cheapest and I went through twice it should not be this dirty." He shrugged his shoulders, got some kind of cleaner and spot cleaned it; again using the dirty towels. Driving home my windshield had steaks all over it and with the sun glare I could barely see out the window. I came home to wax it and the car was so dirty I had to wash it again myself. I get my car washed every other week and this is the worst car wash I have ever been to. If I could give zero stars I would. read more

This place is a damn joke! $20 for a touch less carwash with NO vacuum no nothing. When you pull in you see people getting their cars detailed inside and out. So I thought after the wash I pull in and wait for the interior to be done. My man comes out and says that's $20 extra. GTFOH with that BS! My rims were still filthy with break dust on them. Avoid this place if you want a real wash. You're better off letting the rain do it for free. read more

The car wash sucks. You would expect your car to be clean bumper to bumper but after going through twice, not so much. The first time, the back of the car did not even look like it was washed. went back and they almost did not spray the back of it until the manager told them too. Even after this, I would not call the back clean. I have had more bad experiences here then good so will never go back. read more

They did a fair job on the car, emptied the trash, washed the matts, and the whole works. It looked a lot better than when I brought it in. They were very fast too. I think it was less than 25 minutes. They have coffee and the place is clean. I did not give them a full 5 star because I was signed up for the recurring wash plan without being told. When I called up to ask why I was charged for a wash 30 days after I had been in there, the manager told me "you signed up for the recurring wash when you came in and you know it". He then proceeded to tell me that I came in on the day of the charge to get a free wash and he knew it! I said I had not been in since the first time, and I wanted a refund. He said I would have to come down so he could use the card that was charged. When I got there he said I must have known I was on the prgram because I got the best wash they have for free. He then refunded the money. His inuendo that I was a liar was not helping matters. If he had not refunded the money quickly I would be writing a very different review. I wanted the mistake with the recurring charge out there in case it happens to other people. If they made an honest mistake then it is no big deal. If other people are being put on recurring charge plans without their knowledge I hope they find this and use it. read more

These guys suck. I am a young female college student and I feel like they were trying to take advantage of me. I got an oil change today and they tried to sell me new engine and air filters for $50. I said I just wanted the standard oil change. He showed me the air filter that had acorns on top. I asked to him to simply dump them over because the filter was clean besides that. I assumed it was taken care of and left a tip but when I got home I saw that the guy hadn't even turned over the filter! Don't come here if you don't want to be ripped off. read more

I almost never take the time to write a review but often go to check reviews out so go figure but for this particular business I felt the need to want to tell others about how great this car wash/detail place truly is!!!! I drive to Platinum all the way from Sandy Hook to go there for my car washes and for a detail a few times a year as well. I have other options much much closer to me but for my husband and I this place is well worth the drive. The service is outstanding from start to finish. My Car looks like it just came out of a showroom the second I drive out. They use high quality products and their staff is terrific. Speaking of the staff that brings me back to why I wanted to write this review. I was blown away today at something that happened there today. Went in for a car wash car looked great coming around the bend guys started the inside work to make it look showroom quality like always. But here is where it gets even better... Miguel ...a hard working, sweet guy that always is hard at work on the detail side happened to be helping the other crew with the final touch up with my car before sending me on my way... All the sudden walks over to me with a. 20 dollar bill in his hand and gives it to me. When I asked him where it came from he sweetly said it was on the side under ur Matt when I was vacuuming I saw it . And walked back to continue getting the car shinned up for me. Not looking for a thank u or recognition ...he just wanted to do the right thing. Now that really really touched me! What a great guy. I want people like Miguel on my team for sure! Oh and the owner is very involved and insists on the very best service for their customers! He is great and runs a top notch business. Anyway... if you want the best of the best for your car with the best products, high end process and superior service give this one a try! Thieves. They stole money from my truck. I went in for an oil change yesterday with 2 20$ bills in my side door with a mix of singles. I saw the money in the door and figured I could leave it there for a quick oil change and that I can trust employees to not mess with my things. When I got my truck back first thing I checked was the side door. No 20$ bills. Just the singles. I went back in and told the manager and workers I know they stole from me, they all denied it. I will never go back and I really cannot believe a professional place like this would rob me. I've given this place my business for the past year, and they stole from me. I even have their unlimited car wash plan, won't be using that anymore. read more

The monthly car wash program is convenient and easy but took months to cancel unlike their claim of "cancel anytime". Turns out the recipient of the voice messages and emails has left as did the person I spoke to. After I posted a frustrated review here the owner took care of my cancellation personally and quickly. Seems very enticing for unlimited washes at a low monthly fee:... However the air pressure is too powerful for the car. So powerful that it bent my license plate and caused a wire harness in my engine to come loose. read more

Excellent service! These guys work hard and do a great job! They are all super friendly! I would definitely recommend their monthly passes! I pay $30/month unlimited for exterior and interior basic. If you go even twice a month its worth the money! I work for a trucking company so my car gets very dirty in the parking lot so I go once a week! read more

This place's service is excellent. I didn't know how to change my car window wipers, so I stopped by their place and wondered if they would know how to do it. As soon as i got to the place, i went into the shop front desk, and told them the problem i was having, the gentleman in the front, after listened to my issue, came right out to take a look at my car. He was very familiar and professional about changing window wipers, in a couple minutes the job was done. Thank god it would have taken me at least 20 minutes to do it on my own. Then i offered money for rendering the service, the technician did not charge me any thing! This place has excellent and prompt service. I give them a five star! read more

I will like to say, I use the Platinum Car Wash and Oil, I have been since we moved into the area 7 years ago. The experience is a delightful one every time I need an oil change or a car wash. The employees really go out of their way to do a great job, my car shines when I reenter the streets, the men who do the oil changing make sure you never find and dirt or oil smudges on or inside your car after their work is complete. This place really helped me me out tremendously. Before I ended up at this car wash, I was over at the Executive car wash, which was the WORST experience that I Have EVER had. Long story short I spent all my money at the executive car wash to find out that my car was not clean at all. i headed over to Platinum where I never have been before. I talked to the gentleman who walked up to me, Erick Polio, and told him what happened at the previous car wash. I told him i don't have much money, but I needed the interior cleaned. He told me that he would help me out, and he did, and even much more than that. He shampooed my carpet. The carpets that I tried to get cleaned at the previous place where in my trunk soaked in a plastic bag. He also cleaned my windows, made everything look so shiny and brand new. I can't even explain how upset I was about the other place, and platinum made my car look like it was brand new. Everyone was so sweet there, and I recommend to anyone who needs a car wash to go to Platinum. They really listen to you and help you out. Thank you Erick so much for ALL you did for me. read more

Brought my car in for an oil change today figured I would give it a try at this place, I have been taking my car to the dealership for the past six years and tiered of paying a lot for a change. Well I should have stuck with it. So brought my car in hopeing to just get a simple oil change and was possibly interested in there car wash monthly plan. They brought the car in the bay guy comes in said I have sludge need to get motor flush wanted to charge me $70 I said no thank you just an oil change please. The guy seemed upset by my answer and called a Mgr the Mgr said that if I don't get this done my motor will blow because of sluge my car has 70,000 on it and they will not be held responsible. Well that through up a big red flag for me I have been taking my car for all its recommended services since the beginning at the dealership and the car has had no issues and oil sludge was never mentioned as a problem and i know that this Mgr was using terrible sales tactics on selling this to me he kept repeating him self and was very rude trying to intimidate me into buying this service. The other guy who was working on the car I watched and he drained the oil for less the 2 min over filled my oil showed me the dip stick with dirty oil after he was done saying it won't be clean unless I get a flush. Very nerves and upset I payed and left to go get gas down the road And as I was getting gas I noticed car was leaking oil so I brought my car immediately over to the dealer ship they had to do another oil change and said the car was not drained properly oil was still Dirty and the oil was leaking from the oil filter was not tightened properly . Terrible experience and I will be contacting the BBB in regards to what happend. shound have trusted my gut feeling. Ended up spending money on 2 oil changes. read more
