She does a fabulous job every time. She is a great stylist and a really kind person as well. She's very laid back, relaxed and is not loud or boisterous. She is easy to talk to and to converse with. Her prices are very good too, better than the salons in Willis. I highly recommend her for women and men. She used to cut my son's hair as until he relocated to a different city. She always did a really good job on his hair as well. Switch Hair Studio is a very cute place. There are lots of older furnishings and decorative items in the shop, like kind of an art deco/Frank Lloyd Wright vibe. It is really interesting to look at all of the items and reminisce about seeing similar items in my childhood home. The shop is always neat and clean. Old but with an experienced stylist. A very nice lady who did an amazing job considering the price of $10! Heck, why spend the money on an expensive cut that takes 15 minutes? She wasn't too talkative which I s nice, sometimes I get less than a good haircut from talkative stylists in the past. I tipped her well and I strongly suggest you do too. She gave me a comb and had me comb my hair to make sure the cut worked out for me and it was just great! What a value for the dollar! I will be back!

I have never seen anything like this. It looked fine walking out because I couldn't really tell how crooked it was because she braided the front section, but then once we got home I brushed it and could instantly see it. My son's haircut started out pretty bad because the clippers being used on him were pulling his hair out because they weren't sharp. (And they were probably not cleaned well) His skin instantly turned red and he was shaking it hurt him so much, and the lady cutting his hair finally got a different pair of clippers after I said something (after trying to tell me that it couldn't be hurting him because of the guard). Those clippers didn't hurt. My son does have some sensory issues, but after so many haircuts, I have never seen his skin turn red from clippers, and it certainly hasn't ever been painful for him. When I told my husband about it, he was like "oh yeah if they aren't cleaned or if they aren't sharp, they will pull on the hair. She went and cut another little boy's hair after and he was also screaming, but since he wasn't even 2, he couldn't tell them it was hurting, so I'm sure they assumed he was just scared. After getting home and looking at his hair closer, the line she cut on his neck is slanted. I am SO disappointed that we paid nearly $60 (including tip) for these cuts, and they look like this. As someone who worked in the salon/spa business for 13 years before staying at home with my kids, I would normally call and ask them to fix this. But it is nearly 40 minutes from my house, and we leave for vacation tomorrow. So my husband will try to fix the line on my son's neck, and I am going to try to straighten my daughter's hair out, or she will just be wearing a pony tail until we can get it fixed later this month. **Oh! Also, the address on Yelp is not correct. It is 15 minutes from this address (on the other side of 45 near party city. There is NO SIGN on the building for Sharkey's.) Avoid KARINA BROWN!…read more Tardiness silently enrages this mean evil spirited woman. I was 10 mins late, called front desk/owner, and she said it's ok if next appointment cancels. I thought no problem excited to RETURN to Karina since she did a great job our 1st visit. Karina's next appt cancelled and she came out back with a mean grin and was very quite very guarded. Would not engage with my well behaved 24 month old at all. I tried to engage in polite small talk reminding her about our prior visit. The owner/front desk woman showed Karina on their computer his last haircut which she did. I specifically said, "I've been growing his hair out he only needs to trim one long piece in the back (I grabbed the long piece and showed her too) and taper it like last time." Karina frowning the entire time said ok and began shaving of high fading the side of his head. I didn't see as I was helping her hold my son's head still on the other side. She then grabbed the scissors and started chopping his back which was just at ponytail length. I said very calmly and politely, "why did you chop all back when I said one piece!" She said, "this is the last time I'm doing his hair SO WHAT!" I couldn't believe the harshness in her tone or understand what was the problem. My son was an angel no fuss! I was very pleasant too. It was too late my son's curls were gone I wanted to cry!!! After she stated it was her last time I tried to reassure her she was doing a good job so she wouldn't butcher my son's hair even more. She then tried to give him spiked sideburns! He didn't have that and I didn't ask. She was pissed when I said please no spikes. So after all that she said I have to finish the other side of his head. That is the video below where shaves it super short and uneven on purpose. Notice the unevenness of my son's hair. Notice the before photos. She was really mad I was late. I wish she would have charged me a late fee and not see my son at all. He didn't deserve that treatment he's an innocent little child. It was 2 weeks before his 2nd bday too. I read other similar reviews where did the same thing to another little boy with autism and maliciously chopped his hair uneven and made him jump after the mom said loud noises startle him. Anyway the front desk woman couldn't believe what she saw. She agreed that she completely ruined his hair. It took every fiber in me not to cuss out that evil bruja Karina! I called and demanded to speak with management, there is none. The front desk lady is the OWNER! She explained that she can't get rid of her because she's one of the few barbers left. Wasn't sure what to except since there was only 1 woman working the store but we were the only customers so we got seated pretty quickly. Was nervous at first since she had some difficulty checking us in. Not her fault though since the check-in system was kind of confusing and they were having some internet trouble (the AT&T guy was walking in and out of the store getting things going). During his haircut, she was very calm and cheerful with him. Had some toy dinosaurs he could play with since the TVs/IPads were down due to the internet troubles.
