I'd never been into Flawless Kicks before, on account of the fact that it is a clothing style I grew out of around the age of 15, but I have to say I had higher expectations from the window display than were met when I actually went inside. The windows manage to make it look like they sell quite a lot of cool stuff, but when you get inside it seems to be almost entirely t-shirts and jumpers, along with just a few of the 'Flawless Kicks' that give the store its moniker. The t-shirts and hoodies are in bright colours, printed with various designs like line drawings of mixing decks, a stencil of a gorilla head, and a slogan jumper saying 'ever since I can remember I've always wanted to be a gangster.' It's not really my kind of thing anyway, but I did feel that even if it was the choice would be fairly limited. Having said that, they do offer a 'design your own' service where you can submit your own text or design and it will be printed onto a t-shirt or hoodie of your choice, at a cost of £45 for a jumper, £25 for a t-shirt. The off-the-rail jumpers retail at about £35. I suppose if I ever wanted to design a personalised top I might consider the place, but otherwise I think that for a similar style of clothing (e.g. bold graphic tees) but with a wider variety I would head to Boy Parker just down the road, or one of the other skater oriented shops just a few doors along. read more
