Inaccurate map - do not follow the address on this page! It is the shoulder of a major Highway,…read moredangerous, & nowhere to park. Instead, find a designated trailhead into the Forest. I ran about five miles of them from 283 to 83, then on west of 83. The trails are mostly single track sand trails with some roots, but few other obstacles. I ran, but most people could easily hike these trails without difficulty. The vegetation is low, which makes it easy to see. I really enjoyed this. In addition to the single track trails, there are also service roads that you could explore if you wanted more distance. The biggest issue that there were some segments that were completely flooded and required mid-calf wading to cross. One section is just west of 83, and the other was about 2 miles west of 283 or 1 mile East of 83. My shoes were totally soaked, but it was still fun. Just be prepared if there has been a lot of rain. The forest was pretty quiet. I only saw two other people, and a random pair of black New Balance shoes just off the side of the trail. I would love to know their story! This is a great place to explore! Highly recommend!
