And it's not all furniture; there are lamps, (new) candles, objets d'art, (new) throw pillows, bookends, etc. Basically anything you could find at Pottery Barn (save linens and tableware) but higher quality and certainly more unique. It's such a comfortable, warm place that my husband and I enjoy just popping in every few weeks to see what's new. Unfortunately (or fortunately!) we've run out of spaces to put furniture. Rick, the owner, has a great eye for quality and style and is super friendly, to boot. Once he offered to lend us his SUV so we could haul a piece of furniture to our nearby home! We declined his very generous offer :-) They do deliver for a fee, for things that can't be wedged into a standard vehicle.

Lafayette St is now the new home for another shop called Liquidation Station, and is worth a little stop if you are up for checking out more shops along Historic Downtown Greenville. Keeping their original name, 310 Peddlers is a fusion of The Unique Nook and Colonial Treasures Workshop. The local shop is a great place to find a perfect treasure. Curios, kick-nacks, trinkets, and one of a kind furniture pieces can be found throughout the shop. You are likely to be greeted by the shop greeter Saydee Jo - a sweet black dog with one blue eye and one brown. She may bark at you, but she's eager to help you throughout the shop- provided you give her lots of pets. During each visit you can find one of the creative geniuses hard at work in the on site workshop. Each item of furniture presents as a stylized and sturdy piece that has received a new breath of life. I've bought an end table in the past for my small room at home. He remembered me, AND the piece I had bought from him. After asking me many questions about my space, home, and personal tastes (we used a design magazine for reference) he picked out a shade for me to try. LOVED IT!! FIRST TRY! I loved the color so much I have three rooms in my house in the shade now! Amy helped us on are last visit. She is very professional with outstanding design skills. We were there maybe an hour and purchased two couches, two recliners, an ottoman, a rug and two lamps. The only one who was nice to us when we were shopping there was chastised in front of us by her coworkers; we decided to buy a very expensive chair from her. When it was ready, 9 months later, we had just replaced our furnace to the tune of $15k, and then our car needed $5k in repairs, and then my husband lost his job, so they generously allowed me to make monthly payments. Fast forward to a year past the time it was ready, a year of making small monthly payments that I couldn't afford with just my salary supporting the family of 4, payments that only added up to about half the full price, i got a call and was told I must pay the remaining balance or pay a restocking fee with the payments I've made so far. They said it was taking up space in their warehouse...its not a large chair, at all, a round swivel rocker, fits one butt...It's a great chair, but next time I'll go directly to the manufacturer, make sure these people don't get any of my money.

The inventory changes frequently, but they usually have typical office items such as chairs, filing cabinets, whiteboards, and other things. But you can also sometimes find bikes and knickknacks and glass bases. It all depends on what area got cleaned out on campus. They also have a large section where they offer office supplies, free of charge so things like binders, tab files, anything that might be found in an office they usually have available. There hours can be a little wonky so it's a good idea to double check before you head out there. They also do not take cash, so be prepared for that. It's a great place to check if you were in need of something for your home or School office on a budget.

You will definitely walk away with something when you stop here. Today is Wednesday and although the site says 6pm they are open until 8pm. They take cash, and credit cards for purchased and will hold items as needed to allow you to continue to shop. This place also offers for purchase water, pop (soda), Pringles, assortment of candies and snacks to keep you going because when you get here you will be here for a while. I felt very comfortable being here, walking amoung the items and I teracting with the staff. Highly recommend.
