You could always say you didn't know that this place was a stripe club. You just thought it was an audition to join a flash mob? Jax has extremely interesting entertainment ... everywhere. The girls are mostly pale with cute butts and... you will definitely laugh at least once through the night. Decent drink specials, decent drinks. I just don't t understand how any of the chicks make money. read more

I went there last night to celebrate NYE with my boyfriend because there was no cover charge and I heard the drinks were good. We really enjoyed it. Very couple friendly. The dancers didn't beg or pressure us to purchase drinks or VIP. There were only a few girls working that night but they really friendly and had great attitudes. They bartender was awesome and a trip lol. One of our Favorites was Breezy! She rocked the stage, dances to the beat, very cute shape and face, has a playful/spunky personality, and is very fun to be around! I would definitely come back. read more

The sign said NEW MANAGEMENT, however all the regulars said it is just a change of name, but the same atmosphere . It is a hole in the wall club, I & several customer stand at the bar for more than 15 minutes to wait to be serve for busy night with 2 bartenders who constantly take breaks...so only 1 bartender for the whole bar. When they come back from their 10 minutes break, they stand around & chat with the customer , instead of look around to see who needs drinks; even the waitress had to go back behind the bars several times to make her own drinks. read more

$3 cover on weekdays. $3.75 long neck. $20 minimum on credit cards. Dancers are not very friendly unless you're a regular. Hell, even the waitress selling shots passed me by and went to regular customers. Bartender was super nice though. read more

DO NOT EAT AT THE HOT DOG STAND. DISGUSTING!!! Saw the worker take food off ground to serve it when it was dropped. Owner drinks while preparing food and many health violations already on them. The worker needs to find a place that will let her dance instead, if she wasn't old and fat. The dancers are good but the food was horrible! read more

I went expecting something cool -- but what I got was absolutely next-level. Right from the start, the energy in the room was electric. The vibe is a modern twist on a glamorous speakeasy, but this isn't just about sipping cocktails and listening to jazz in the background. This show pulls you right into the heart of the action -- performers are everywhere around you, and it's impossible to look away. And let's talk about the fire acts -- wow. They've seriously turned up the heat this year, literally and figuratively. Between a Fire Aerialist who seemed to defy gravity, a Guinness World Record holder showing off insane skills, and a Cirque du Soleil performer adding jaw-dropping moments, it felt like every few minutes, something new was making me gasp or cheer. The costumes were dazzling, the live band was incredible, and the dancers and vocalists kept the energy high the entire time. It's edgy, glamorous, a little bit wild -- and completely unforgettable. At about 90 minutes, the show moves fast and never once drags. You're constantly surrounded by the magic -- it's a full 360-degree experience that really makes you feel part of the underground world they've created. If you're anywhere near Jacksonville and want a night that's sexy, bold, and completely unique, don't miss this show. The Velvet Underground delivers a sensory explosion you won't stop talking about.
