I'm a huge fan of this dish, and this place is a top contender and that's coming from someone who's had England's highest-rated spots, including Golden Chippy. You can choose between cod and haddock. They were out of haddock, but that's fine, I prefer cod anyway. The batter was light, crispy, and flaky, and the cod itself was fresh with a nice snap to it. Most places either get the batter right and mess up the fish, or vice versa. FISHY FISHY nailed both. I was seriously impressed. I'm sold! And let's be real you can't have fish and chips without a solid tartar sauce. Their house-made tartar sauce just throws everything into elite status. This place could easily be a top contender for the #1 spot in England. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Once inside this great building, I discovered two floors and an outdoor courtyard full of every food and flower you could imagine. I took a little over an hour and wandered up and down the aisles. Taking in almost a floor of fresh seafood. Fresh cuts of meat- sheep heads, goat meat, and poultry. Lanes of fresh fruits and vegetables. Followed the scent of fresh baked bread and decided it was time foe a coffee break. Cappuccino and croissant in the market. Then outside to discover an array of beautiful flowers in so many colors and sizes. Klaus-Dieter you would have had a field day here picking out flowers for your wife. My regret here was not being able to buy any of the cheeses. There were so many delicious choices and too little time to eat them. Better than any grocery store, mercados are always a must stop and check out.

The hotel is in the Marina area but the Terra Restaurant did not have a very good view of the Marina area. The restaurant has a some what cold atmosphere with its modern style, and the menu offered a small variety of items to eat. The size and taste of the meals were OK but the service was very good. Most of the time we don't like to eat in restaurants in hotels because most of the time they are just OK. But we thought we are in Spain and someone said to check it out. But really it was Not to bad but not to good.
