I was on a solo lunch and looking forward to the puffs! To say they are "perfect" seems insufficient. They were fried incredibly well, hot, crunchy, tasty, but never greasy. And these little puffs were filled with minced beef, potatoes, and seasoning! For my main dish, I chose the dragon noodles (pad thai) with chicken. All the veggies in the dish were cooked perfectly, nothing too mushy, just the right amount of crunch/bite to the cabbage, broccoli, and carrots. And the chicken was chunky! And while I loved everything about the dish, the sprinkling of the crushed peanuts was *chef's kiss*. There's no skimping on those peanuts here. As I write this I'm excited for the leftover noodles waiting for me. When you walk into Sausalido you really do feel welcomed. The space is unassuming in the best way possible. Posters of the drinks they offer (coffee, smoothies, boba) adorn the walls, along with pictures of the various food items they have. The restaurant is across the street from Alondra Park and there are other businesses in the center. So, if you need to do your laundry do that and grab a meal at Sausalido. The kalua pork was tender, but a little sweeter than I personally prefer for traditional kalua pork, so I'd probably try a different protein next time instead.
