I'm pretty picky about my buffets. This isn't a 5 star however, it has everything I like and taste great. I've only been on Saturdays for lunch but the noodles, amazing!!! Arrived at 7:30pm for dinner and were reminded that they close at 9:00pm. Food was subpar, which I figured it might be so close to closing. What I didn't expect, was to have no food left on the buffet at 8:15pm. I was unable to refill my drink due to them blocking off the beverage area. I was asked to move tables after coming back with my plate, so they could clean. For the price you're paying I would expect to not feel rushed. If you are a buffet that is open until 9:00pm, there should be food until 9:00pm! read more

After Super King closed due to covid (sad face), it was really exciting to hear about a new buffet opening up within the area! Their location has a small entrance next to Rite Aid so don't expect to see a big sign. Inside definitely surprised me with how big and wide it was, but this also meant that it was exciting because they have more variety to choose from! My group arrived about 1.5 hours before it closed and there was still plenty of food to choose from. You pay before you head to grab food. Payment per person also includes drinks. There are no utensils set up at the table. The service is literally free for all -- as in get your own table, plate, utensils, and drinks. Napkins and some condiments are placed at the table. Drinks (soda, hot tea, water) and ice cream was located to the right side of the room and the food was located to the majority left. As for variety of food, there was plenty to choose from but most things lacked flavor or you could tell/taste that it was not fresh anymore. I honestly got unmotivated really fast with their food, so to make my moneys worth, I just ate more of the things I liked. Parking is part of a big plaza so I wouldn't be too worried about not finding a spot. To some this place may be great, but I do not see myself returning back. I'll stick with Kumi for now. read more

Fj buffet is a newer Asian buffet open in 2022. It located next to the Rite Aid in the strip mall. There plenty of parking. The buffet look small on the outside, but when you walk in the doors you will walk through a lobby area and than you walk in to the waiting area and you see the inside is pretty big and not what it look like on the outside. The inside is nice and clean and everything is new. Price M-F dinner is $20.99 weekend dinner is $22.99 This review is for Friday we paid $20.99. At this buffet you pay before you are seated. Drinks: drinks are include with the buffet. You can help yourself to fountain drinks and hot tea and maybe coffee. You can purchase beer separately. Food: they do have seafood. There was crawfish, fish, shrimp, crab, ect. They had a salad bar, sushi bar, hot food and dessert. I think the food wasn't that flavorful. Crawfish was bland and the other food was just ok. Some items were burn. I think they are still working on it. Compare this place with Kumi Buffet. Kumi is more expensive than here. There food is better flavor. FJ doesnt have a craving station that has primb rib and stuff and it doesn't have a noodle soup station. It is more affordable and more updated. read more

Food is decent. The employees are quick and they clear your plate pretty fast. I was pretty satisfied with my trip here. For a buffet I would say that this was pretty good and Ive been twice already. We have cut back on going out since the current administration has regrettably driven prices up for small businesses & the middle class. This establishment has maintained their quality since our last visit and same price. The food tasted fine and the service was decent. This place is a fantastic find in SE Portland, it's a true all you can eat and drink buffet with a good price too. $15 for lunch Monday through Friday till about 2:00 I think and the dinner starts about 4:00 PM or so and it's $22 for dinner. You can't find an all you can eat and all you can drink at their price! All other Buffet restaurants charge extra for the soda pop and coffee but FJ Buffet includes everything in their price. Their sushi selections are not big but they have some and they have salmon and tuna sashimi for dinner, and they've got cooked clams, mussels, oysters, crawfish, catfish, salmon, shrimp, crabs, and other Chinese food favorites and soups and their sautéed noodles is tasty too. I think this may be the best Chinese buffet in greater-Portland region. Its clean, its a very open layout with a cafeteria style counter that is constantly refreshed by cooking staff. Very bright and extremely pleasant dining area, with large hi-tech display showing calming scenes from China with very nice instrumental music playing at a very appropriate volume. 2 staff constantly circling the floor grabbing dirty plates and other items. Modern feel. The food was excellent and above average. The offerings were diverse and fresh. Possibly the most solid sushi bar I've seen at a buffet outside of Vegas. Many common dim sum items. Excellent salad bar. This place is simply awesome and somewhat out of place where its located off 122nd & Division area. As soon as I arrived I wanted to bring all of my friends and family here. And the price was super reasonable. 5 stars!!! I'll be back many times I'm sure. I started as a random walk-in customer who was looking for a good Chinese buffet option. My son took me and my husband to dinner on Sunday May 18th. We were celebrating Mother's Day cuz he was sick on the prior Sunday. We went early to escape the crowds. I started with a bowl of egg flower soup, but when I went back to get food there was a HUGE private party who had a line all the way to the register. I am handicapped and use a mobility scooter. I tried to get to the hot food, but the members of the party closed ranks and would not let me near the food. I told them my party was already eating and they told me to go to the back of the line. 25 minutes later I had not made it to the food and my party had given up on 2nds and was ready to leave. It didn't help that the cart lady who needed 3 tables together kept holding her pen over our table and pointing at it. Went here for a dinner for the first time. I love the sashimi section. Salmon is so fresh and soft. Tripe salad and cucumber salad is good but kinda wish it has more favors. They also have many options for Chinese foods however it takes little long time for the food coming out and it's on Sunday. The hot are sour soup isn't sour at all and mostly sweet. Dim sums is definitely not good, taste like from the bag. The price is about the same comparing to other buffet restaurants, $45 for 2 persons. A huge buffet! They have a variety of foods including Asian and American. Sodas are also included. I went during lunch time. My favorite dish was probably the noodles. The dimsum was disappointing as the har gow was super sticky and feel apart when using the tongs to pick it up. They have a nice variety of sushi-both cooked and raw. I loved how they had pickled veggies and seaweed salad. Dessert was disappointing as the cakes were dry and tasted like plastic. I also wish they had soft serve ice cream which is usually a classic at Chinese buffets. Instead, they had small ice cream cups in a freezer. I left that buffet, stuffed.
