Lots of designer brands but I'd rather go to Neiman Marcus (Last Call), which is located in the…read moresame vicinity. This store started stocking TOMS shoes now & they have a pretty good variety (although, don't expect them to be on sale).
I bought 3 purses from this store but when I got home, I noticed that the stupid security tags were still on all 3 bags. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the cashier is in charge of 2 things: collecting payment & checking your items (for any random items inside pockets, make sure your shoes are both the same size, etc.) & so I was very surprised to find that all 3 tags were still on them. Another surprising thing is that I was able to waltz out of the store with the tags on without setting off any alarm. Weird, right?
A bit annoyed at this, I recently came back to get them taken off & felt like since I had gone almost a month without feeling the urge to use those purses, I returned 2 of them. Unfortunately, the return policy is terrible. NO REFUNDS EVER. Only exchange/store credit -_-
So now I have a ton of store credit & the manager (?) was nice enough to give me like six 15% off coupons for the inconvenience. That was a nice gesture.
Overall, I like this store & would still come back & check it out because they have quality products but I had to take 2 stars off for the refund policy & the carelessness.
UPDATE AS OF 08/27/11:
I just HAD to add an update to this review because of my latest experience here. I wanted to use up some of my store credit from my last visit where I returned 2 purses.
There was a sale on shoes so I casually asked if there was a sale on TOMS. I was told by a taken aback employee that they cannot be on sale since that company already donates a pair to a child in need. Well it just so happens that I am a shopaholic and I bought multiple pairs of TOMS shoes 2 yrs ago from their warehouse in LA for half the price...and they STILL donated a pair to children in need. I don't like being spoken to with such a borderline rude tone. I wasn't born yesterday. Lol. I'm not docking a star for that though.
I'm docking the original 3 stars I gave them to 2 stars because of the checkout process. They don't have gift cards (to my knowledge). My store credit was in the form of a slip of paper with a signature and amount on it. 2 employees were trying to subtract the credit off of the paper and credit me with the leftover amount. After 15 minutes of fumbling around, I was given my remaining balance. As i put it away and reached for my purchases, I found that they were not ready yet.
By this time it had taken close to 20 minutes for checkout. I asked if I should just come back to pick them up, feeling a little irritated considering I already got my credit and my items were sitting right on the counter. The employee said that it would only take a moment longer. I waited. 2 minutes later, she said I should come back. She would not give me my purchases even though I was already given my remaining balance. Their computer/technical issues should not cause me to wait 20 minutes for them to sort it out.
I came back an hr later and got my things. After I finish the remainder of my store credit, I don't think I will ever come back.
One word explains this store: INCONVENIENT. I'd rather head over to Last Call for designer labels...
