Fix is the newly renovated restaurant inside the Blue Moon Hotel. The wooden floors and bistro tables give it a modern French country vibe. The music is relaxing and played at a low enough volume to have a conversation. Be sure you get a table close to the pool with the waterfall. Breakfast is served daily from 8:00 to noon and being that breakfast is my favorite meal of the day they received an extra star based on my love affair with carbs. We started with hot coffee (big cups but could be a bit stronger) and oatmeal. They use steel cut oats, the good stuff. Oatmeal was a nice big bowl and cooked to creamy perfection. The downside is the price. If I recall correctly, close to $10 for just a bowl of oats. Whole wheat pancakes are hard to find so I couldn't pass them up. They were moist and served with warm caramelized bananas on top. The inside of the pancake actually had a warm berry puree. Very nice, but again you pay $13 for three pancakes and no sides. Some fresh berries on top would have been nice. The mushroom and goat cheese omelet with sun dried tomato pesto was very good, another $13 dish with no sides, and sides are $5. That's pricy for breakfast. Although the food is delicious, they need to either lower the prices or add some sides, like toast, hash browns or fruit. Anything really, to increase the bang for your buck. Overall, one of South Beach's better breakfast/ brunch options, especially when you are looking for a quiet retreat from the hustle and bustle.

Place is a little over rated... Nice ambience but service sucks.. Took forever to place order ..& Other 25min to get our food..

Words cannot express how quickly I have fallen in love with FIX ... Let me begin with the fact that the place was relatively empty when we arrived. Luckily, I read "Blue"'s review and knew not to be hesitant of this. We sat in the back near the patio area. Very cozy despite the fact we were on the Beach. We were in for a real treat. There was a small group sitting across from us doing an interview, we were delighted with breakfast and a show! They have everything and anything you could possibly want for breakfast ... and lunch too. The Rice Krispies French Toast was just a little slice of heaven on my plate. Unfortunately, that was all I was able to eat this visit. But I will definitely be returning AND bringing along the Fam!

The service was impeccable! The dining area is I. The back of the hotel and not off Collins which took us by surpriSe very tiny pool area but they made up for it with the food. Service- average for Miami. Lag time was bordering appropriate but so friendly ! Definite place to stop for a quiet meal that's still great! Highly suggest it. They have a brunch menu that ends at 11 and then switches to lunch

Went to FIX on a not so busy Thursday afternoon, seated right away. The staff was friendly and paid attention, got smiles and hi's from everyone. The food was on point and large enough portions.

I ordered a glass of Cab Sab to avoid a cocktail that's more mixer than alcohol and that was actually pretty good. The wine was nice and full bodied. Next up was my $26 Americano Burger with fries. The fries were nice and crispy, and I had them with more than a couple of the little packs that reminded me of elementary school instead of a squeeze bottle like I'm used to from other restaurants. I asked for bbq sauce to dip the fries, and got it after I was done with the fries so I used it instead with the burger. I asked for said burger with no pickles and medium well. While the temperature of the burger was as requested, the burger was overly salty and the American cheese seemed like the squeezable "cheese whiz" type. Also guess what offensive condiment was in the bottom bun? Yes the pickles! While I started to eat the burger keto style (without the bun) I left most of it. While the waitress said she had put the order as no pickle, maybe the kitchen messed up my request.

Happy hour clocks in at $12 for food, $12 for all house cocktails, $10 spritzes, and a flat $6 for all beer, which in Miami Beach feels almost suspicious in the best way possible. I kept it simple with an ice cold Peroni while my wife went for the Giardino 75, a gorgeous little spritz built on Empress Indigo Gin, St. Germain, mint, lime, and prosecco. She loved it. The color alone was worth the ten bucks, but it actually drank as good as it looked. For food we shared the Bolognese Grilled Cheese and let me tell you, this thing punches well above its $12 price tag. Thick cut brioche toast, griddled until the edges go deep golden brown, stacked over a rich slow simmered bolognese with cheese pulling through every bite. Dusted with parmesan and fresh herbs, plated with cherry tomato skewers that added a nice little pop of acidity. Comfort food dressed up for a night out. Service was attentive and easy, drinks came quick, plates came hot, and nobody made us feel rushed even sitting through happy hour. The room itself has that playful Sicilian energy with the Moor head planters and bright touches throughout, which fits the vibe of the menu perfectly. Would I make a special trip back to Miami Beach for it? Probably not from Fort Myers, but if you're already in the area during happy hour, this is one of the better values you'll find on the beach. Solid four stars. Good drinks, good food, great specials, and service that actually showed up.

You are there, but apparently invisible, and suddenly all that charm vanishes. The food came out cold, which would have been fine if it were still tasty, but sadly, it was neither warm nor particularly good. They took it away to "fix it," but the damage was done. I lost track of how many times I saw our waiter after that, and unfortunately, it wasn't enough to make up for what I paid or for the experience that had already gone off the rails. You can forgive a small mistake, but when the cold food and disappearing service team are combined, it feels like a comedy of errors. So let me give you some friendly advice: stay away. Stay away. Stay away. Unless you are looking for a dining experience that doubles as a lesson in how quickly customer service can vanish, do yourself a favor and avoid this place. I'll admit it had story value for me, and I left with a funny tale to tell, but as far as eating out in Miami goes, there are far better options that won't make you question if you were ever seated in the first place.

I realized that I had not actually been to this location since it was The Playwright (or whatever it was called) 4 or 5 years ago. The updated interior is nice - very "pubby" - and they offer a good variety of seating from bar seats to high-tops to couches. Two things here that were standouts: First, the burger is one of the best burgers I've had on South Beach. So much so that I'm craving it again this morning. They've done a good job with the menu in that it still has all those bar foods that you look for in a place like this, but they've put some thought into elevating a number of items (e.g. the short rib poutine!) Second, the service was great. Our server (sorry, can't remember his name - a nice guy from Kendall) was very friendly and provided excellent service. As many reviews mention, this is definitely a place to watch a game. While we weren't there for this purpose last night, the TV setup is great and I could def see myself camping out there with a few beers on a weekend afternoon.
