The staff are very helpful and whilst being on the expensive side I don't mind paying for high quality meat. A great butcher in town and i would happily come here any day.

Two chiller cabinets with cheese, cooked/cured meats etc. Extremely helpful staff and there is always a good atmosphere in the shop. They are happy and knowledgeable so great if you need any advice on which cut to get or how best to cook it etc. You can phone ahead to make sure that they have what you want and you can place an order in advance. All meat on the butchers counter (and it is a proper butchers) is fully traceable and usually sourced witin a 5-10 mile radius. The quality is superb too! From such excellent produce one would expect to pay a premium but from my comparisson, it was cheaper than the major supermarkets! If you find yourself in or near this area I would say it is well worth a visit!

(This is what I am told by a reliable source) The meat always looks nice and fresh and they are always having offers on for example but a kilo of mince meat get one free. On Christmas eve when I was going to work at 8-15am there must have been at least 100 people outside waiting for the butchers to open to get their meet for Christmas so if that isn't a good indication of the quality of the meet what is? The owner of this butchers shop has just bought the bakery next to it as the owner passed away. The butcher is keen to keep the traditional shops going in the village.
