Wild Card was a lifesaver for us in a very stressful situation. Our SUV got an oil leak from a…read moredamaged oil pan in VERY rural Wyoming. Wild Card drove 100 miles to get us and towed the SUV all the way back to their shop in Green River. Finding a replacement oil pan there proved to be a challenge, and one had to be brought all the way from Denver. It arrived after 7 pm but Wild Card is open 24/7 so they were able to get the repair done right away. Being stranded miles away from help in a strange place made us feel very vulnerable. But the staff at Wild Card was honest, very friendly and helpful, and did a great job for us. We felt lucky to have found them.

Called around to many places in the surrounding area to be told they were booked weeks out or couldn't do anything. These wonderful people wanted to help me if they could, which they did. They helped bring me into town and to their garage to work on it. I told them it was important to get back on the road ASAP for an appointment in another state, and I could tell they were committed to making that work, making immediate parts calls and getting to work. In short, everyone I dealt with: the owner Blaine and his wife, and mechanics Tim and Kelley were compassionate and diligent and got me back on the road just a couple hours later! We called Whisler Chevrolet (they were the closest to our location), and were told to bring the vehicle by and they would check it and get us back on the road quickly. Upon arrival (11am), we were informed the service technician was on his way to lunch and would diagnose our vehicle when he got back from lunch in an hour. After some time we were told the vehicle needed a new transmission, and they had one in the shop, but were waiting for GM to approve the repair as a warranty claim. Eventually, the warranty repair was approved by GM, but we were told the repair would not be made until Monday morning because no shop work was done after hours or on weekends. We were very frustrated because we had been at the dealership for 7 hours and nothing had been done to repair our vehicle. The shop employee suggested we talk to a salesperson about trading our vehicle for a new truck (which we had only had for 4 months). She introduced us to the salesperson, and the first thing he told us was the repair amount would be subtracted from our trade-in value despite the fact it was a warranty issue (this practice hardly seems ethical). We canceled our weekend plans, rented a U-haul truck so we could tow our camper to a campground less than a mile from the dealership, and spent 3 unnecessary days in a town in which we had no interest.

We were on our way to Canada via San Francisco, and had very limited funds. We needed a fix that would get us to Canada, where we'd be able to afford to do the larger repair that was needed. We explained this all to Dennis, and he understood. Instead of ripping us off like the other shops wanted to, he came up with a solution that would get us safely to Canada, where he made us promise we'd have the serious repairs done ASAP. The repair was done quickly and well - and he even called us the next day to check we were okay. What a sweetheart! Honestly, if it wasn't for Dennis, we'd still be stuck in Rock Springs. So thank you Dennis!

We were pretty concerned, as we only have a few days to look around, and in Wyoming you need a good vehicle to do so. So we checked online last night at about 4:30pm which was dicey in itself because they close at 5. But we drove down there anyway to talk with them, and even as they were closing, they were able to make a spot for us this morning 8/28/25. We got there at 8am and before we could ask, Kira at the front desk offered to find us a ride back to our hotel. We gratefully accepted! The owner Rick gave us a ride and after talking for a few minutes, we felt very comfortable with both him and his establishment. He assured us that they would do everything in their power to get us back on the road as quickly as possible. Right after 9am, we got a call from them, letting us know they found the issue and would start fixing it right away. So we took a short walk around our hotel's neighborhood and not long after we came back, the phone rang again. They had fixed our truck and it was ready! It wasn't even noon yet! We were very impressed. And Rick came back to pick us up at our hotel to get our truck. Many thanks to everyone involved; Rick, Kira and shop mgr Jay, plus the mechanics who worked so efficiently to get us going again!
