FIVE STARS for Ken & Five Star Sanitation! Did a great job responding timely and communicating/coordinating pickup. Would definitely recommend!! read more

BEWARE, this guy is a scammer. He charges your credit card on the day you order then delays delivery. He left the dumpster at construction site after promising pickup. Persons unknown overloaded the dumpster with household trash. When he finally arranged pickup driver unloaded the additional trash at the site. He promised to report the incident to the police and code enforcement. Calls to them indicate he did not make contact with either. I instituted a chargeback of payment with my credit card. When he called, I told him if he removed the mess the driver left I would release his payment. The fake bless you and have a blessed day stuff disappeared . He threatened me with property liens and then felony arrest. I am sorry now I did not follow the police department advice and swear out a warrant on him for illegal dumping. If you value truthfulness and honesty, don't use this guy. read more

never paid your bill Ken Rea. Be careful if you deal with this business or with Ken Rea. skipped out on a $1,100 dumpster invoice.

Ken does not own dumpsters and also fails to pay his haulers. Homeowners are at risk of having their dumpster left onsite waiting for payment or being forced to pay the hauler direct to get the trash taken away. read more

Ken Rea is misrepresenting himself and the Five Star sanitation business. Ken does not own dumpsters and contracts with local dumpster companies to provide dumpsters to his customers. Vendors beware!!!!! Ken is out there representing himself as part of your dumpster company. Do not provide a dumpster until you have been paid and make sure the payment goes through. He will establish a trust and pay you a few times and then he will stop paying, providing excuses and lies. Like Brice L and Ethan B., ROLL OFF DUMPSTER COMPANIES BEWARE!!! Customers: if you do not receive your dumpster, it is because he has not paid the roll off dumpster provider. He talks a good game and does just enough to get good reviews. Angi should not allow this guy to be a listed contractor. read more

0 stars no refund and no dumpster waited 2 weeks for a dumpster and most likely a scammer

I hired Ken with 5 star to de a dumpster after multiple promises to deliver the dumpster over a 7 day period the dumpster never arrived and had to be cancelled. We took days off work to get this project done and were very disappointed that the dumpster that had been promised on multiple days never came. If our promised refund does not arrive I will file a complaint and take matters further. The worst customer service I've seen in a long time. read more

ZERO STARS---Ken Rea is a fraud. Waited several weeks for a dumpster and he kept saying it was coming Friday, Tuesday, the next Friday. Then stated he was sending a refund of the deposit. Have still not received the refund. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY-IT DOES NOT EXIST! read more

I would prefer to send 0 stars. If your a small roll off dumpster company out there and Ken from 5 star sanitation calls and ask for a dumpster, make your sure payment has cleared before you deliver, or else you may be left with no payment from Mr. Ken. Not a good way to do business read more

There needs to be a ZERO star option! Do not use Ken Rea for anything. He is a third party dumpster renting piece of $hit. He used Gods name like he is all holy and righteous only to turn around and rob people of their hard earned money and a disabled Vet at that! I was quoted for a 30 yd dumpster, received a 15yd. then he completely wasted two days of my precious time after he promised me the other 15yd dumpster Over a two week timeframe, mind you. But, I was in contact with the company he used already and he never even ordered the other 15yd. He then said he'd refund my money....NOPE! Now I'm out almost 600$ and had to pay for my other dumpster. Do not take this mans words or his BS God loving words for any value. Even contacted the payment business he uses to let them know he is fraudulentry using their name on fake refund receipts But they don't give a crap either, probably in on the whole SCAM...yes... Ken Rea is a SCAM! Do not use this third party jer!!!! he won't be doing much more scamming in SW VA...I'm letting everyone know he's a Scammer!!! God Bless Ken Rea....he needs all the blessings he can get because of LIES!!! read more

We needed a thick 8x10 concrete pad (wth rebar in it) and some pavers removed. Showed up on time and workers were very friendly and professional. Had a slight hiccup with the equipment but they were back bright and early the next morning to finish the job. Owner Ken was very responsive and easy to get ahold of. Would not hesitate to use again! read more

Had a slight problem with the driver finding the place but it all worked out well and Ken was a pleasure to speak with, and is very fair! I'd recommend read more

We were contacted by Ken Rea on March 22, 2024, to remove a barrel with hazardous waste. He presented himself as a worker from Spice World company. We arrived the same day to do the removal, and he stated he would mail a company check. Three months later, we still haven't received the payment. We contacted Spice World, and they explained that Ken Rea has never worked for their company. He was hired by them to do the removal and received payment the same day. We tried to make contact for three months with no answer until we did our research and discovered that Ken Rea runs a scam under the company name Fire Star Sanitation & Ideal Inc. He misrepresents himself when booking jobs with junk removal companies, collects payments, and scams the junk removal companies doing the work. We followed up with Spice World, and they were going to contact him again. The same day they contacted him, he finally decided to answer our calls. He insisted on paying with a check, but we did not accept it because we saw all the bad reviews stating he gives fake checks. We made it very clear that if payment wasn't made by noon, we would file a police report. To our surprise, he made the payment before noon. PLEASE BE CAREFUL AND DO NOT GET SCAMMED BY KEN REA! read more

Five Star is not only part of their name, but also the rating they deserve. Hurricane Helene put many Companies to a real test but Five Star passed with an exceptional grade. It was one of the only companies who was able to get a container for our Condo Complex as soon as we requested one and maintained it by checking in daily to find out if it needed dumping -- if it did Ken (owner) generally was able to arrange it to be done the same day. Courteous, knowledgeable and informative -- Ken was great as was the service provided by Five Star!!! read more
