We are extremely dissatisfied with our experience with Pinelands Pet Motel. We placed a deposit on…read morea Bichon Frise puppy and were told that selections weren't made until pups were a bit older. We then received no communication from the breeder until I sent multiple messages chasing up information about the transportation of the pup and for recent photos. We didn't find out until 7 weeks of age (5 weeks after deposit was made) which pup was ours. We also received no information regarding vet checks or the puppy's progress. After booking our pups flight and organising transportation the breeder then mentions a contract. We had never been informed of a contract and are not comfortable signing a contract that dictates when the pup must be desexing and what must happen if it was ever rehomed (it did go further than this, threatening legal action if we did not comply). We were obviously not comfortable signing such a document after spending thousands on a puppy and stated that to the breeder and requested a refund on the basis we were never informed of such a contract (I do not think this is too much to ask and we would be more than happy to forego the deposit if we had of known). We then received no further communication from the breeder for 2 weeks at which time she had onsold the pup and refused us a refund. I would never recommend anyone purchase a puppy from this breeder, they are only in it for the money and don't even provide future families with updates about the pups, we never received more than email communication which is extremely impersonal. Buying a pup is supposed to be a loving and personal purchase not a simple sale with zero communication. I have owned dogs my whole life and never had any issues with breeders in the past, this is utterly rediculous and anyone willing to sign such a contract upon purchase of a pup needs to seriously do their research. We do not even know if the breeder can legally enforce any of the conditions but it is not a risk we were willing to take.
