I am so thankful they did. They have a lady there named the pie lady. She made some of the most delicious pies I've ever had in my entire life. I will be ordering all of my pies from BG's Farm Market. They were delicious caramel apple pie, pecan pie and pumpkin pie, and they were better than any family member has ever cooked. They were so easy to serve. They were perfect. Plus I was able to get a last-minute few items like fresh sausage, fresh yams, fresh carrots, honey they have it all there. It was very easy to order and once I picked up my pies, I was able to get a list of the pies that she makes. It is a huge list, and I can't wait to try every single one of them. they're very close to the Plumpton Park Zoo. They have a great farmers market. Everything is very very clean organized and the cashier was very knowledgeable and helpful. They have some of the best eggnog the best chocolate milk. Everything was so good. Fresh fish, fresh smoothies, a full meaty country with all kinds of less common cuts, a variety of fresh sausages and ready to cook things like stuffed peppers and these kabobs. They have a candy shop with all the old, nostalgic faves from your youth as well as snack mix and bulk candy hairier varieties and some fancier chocolates and chocolate covered strawberries and bacon, as well as fudge by the pound. If that's not enough, the freshly candied nuts at the front, the full bakery, aisles of jams and seasonings, honey, cheese, prepared foods (I don't love these but they are very popular) and the donut shop is the best! Things I get regularly: beef bacon and other beef items like petite tender and shaved steak, fresh donuts, and bakery items to give as gifts or bring when I'm going to someone's home. They have a variety of mini markets and food vendors in the building: bbq, seafood, spices, bakery, pickles items, clothing, furniture, butcher, handmade crafts, fresh made pretzels, etc. They also had an area to sit and enjoy your food purchases. We also picked up a half of a coconut cake, a slice of strawberry cheesecake, some apple butter and blackberry jam, and as we exited we got the glazed almonds and cashews. This place seems big, but it is manageable to walk around and check out all of the vendors. Upon tasting, our ribs were good: perfectly seasoned and fresh; the wings were rotisserie roasted and were good as well; the cake was just ok for us fresh with coconut flakes held on by white buttercream; the strawberry cheesecake was just ok; the glazed nuts were good as well. Small but really nice. About 6-7 vendors selling a nice variety of veggies, fruits, flowers, meats, baked goods, and one selling cooked something-or-other for a meal to eat there. We will definitely be coming here again! Most of the items *we think* are locally-grown, but cannot absolutely verify this. It's located right in the city of Baltimore under the highway bridge on E Saratoga St. Street parking is free and i guess there is a way to reserve parking in line now. Mercy hospital has also offered free parking in an adjacent lot. The market is open on Sundays for the season and is such a delight. The vendors are very busy but eager to assist. My coworker brought me on a mission to purchase plants we were facilitating for an event. They have an amazing green house. So many assortments of flowers, greenery, and plants, at such an inexpensive price. You can pretty much purchase a whole tray flat for about 10 bucks.
