After checkout the next morning, we got a call from Sweet Janis letting us know that the "hatch" of the flies was unexpected and not normal and THEY REFUNDED OUR STAY!! Back then a good resort cabin was one where the screens weren't ripped and the screen door closed to keep the misquotes at bay. Boy things have changed. Scott and Beth's Otter Tail Beach Resort is nothing at all like those resorts of my childhood. I stayed in one of the smaller cabins and it was modern, clean, and very functional. There was a nice complete kitchen area, a TV, and a nice shower right in the cabin. The woodwork and detail was awesome. In some ways the cabin was nicer then my house. When I'm in the area again, I will definitely stay here.

It is more of a family setting,they have a swimming area and some resort owned kayaks and a canoe as well as paddle boat. They also have a volley ball and shuffle board court. In the office they have board games ( for rainy days) , ice cream , clothes, Bait and fishing advice if you want To know where to catch 'em . It's located bout a mile from the heartland trail so town is a short bike ride away.
