Have eaten here several times in the past, but it has been a few years since the last visit and I…read morehope this latest experience isn't indicative of where the restaurant is at. Booked a table for 4 the day before a midweek visit. No opportunity to book online which is a shame but the call was answered quickly the day before. Upon arrival for an 18:30 booking, we were taken to what I can only describe as a "well" area which I hadn't been seated before, which has poor lighting and very uncomfortable pew-style seating. Once seated the service from the young waitress was excellent and attentive. My co-diners ordered chicken fingers and a classic seafood cocktail for starters and initially, the fingers were dry and felt like it hadn't been recently cooked, which was a warning of what was to come. The "Classic seafood cocktail" was very small and again the warning is in the title. the word Classic would apply if it was called a Prawn cocktail, there is nothing classic about the term seafood cocktail but it is actually just a way to legitimise the replacement of prawns with other seafood sources. For mains, I ordered a combo fajita with extra tortillas which was very good but again the very small dish and paper sauce pot provided for the sides were cutting corners with the offering. My companions ordered burgers of various types but all 3 arrived very dry/overcooked along with the bacon and pulled pork toppings. These shouldn't have left the kitchen but it seems that maybe to manage orders the kitchen is pre-cooking these items and then either flash frying or leaving them on the side of the hot plate, to stay warm but also dry out, as 1 may be a mistake but all suffering from this effect is an indicator that there is a systematic issue. It was a shame as when we mentioned to the waitress about the poor quality being the reason we left food another waitress came over and said we should have said pre-bill paying we had an issue but that she would remember our faces when we came back to do I am not sure what in terms of improving the experience but it wasn't a discount for sure. Either way, it was a disappointing and expensive experience.

I went to Byron Hamburgers for my birthday, I ordered a normal American cheeseburger and a freak…read moresake, the downside of this all was that it was a long wait for the freak sake, it took about 40 minutes, but when I caught a glimpse of that glorious looking treat, I started to jumpy in my cushioned booth. There are many different options of freak shakes that you can get on the menu, I got oreo one, as it tastes the best. The inside of the freak shake contained a chocolate brownie, chocolate flake, and two Oreos sticking out from each side. In around 20 minutes when I had only had a quarter of my filling freak shake, the double patty burger came out by a big plate, it was like the burger had hands and it was possessing me to fly over to the burger and, not just the burger, stuff the whole plate in my mouth. Once the burger came over to the booth, I had to pry open my jaw to take a bite out of the abnormally large burger. The burger was absolutely divine. And I will definitely visit the Resturant again. So I rate this place 4 stars, I will rate it 4 stars for the wait for the freak shake.

The fries can be a little bland, so it is best to go for the Cajun variety. Also, the burgers do get soggy very quickly, so unwrap them immediately and come prepared with a hose. That being said, they are super tasty and well worth the wait.
I adore five guys!…read more This one is a small one within the Lakeside food court, but it's very cosy and has the same sort of American diner theme as all the others I have visited (Birmingham, Kingston, Putney and Leicester Square). My visit to this one is the most memorable due to how hungry I was! My fiance and I arrived here for 2 bacon cheese burgers, cajun fries, with a regular drink. What I love about the burgers are the free toppings! I usually have mushrooms, grilled onions and ketchup. Calories galore! But who doesn't enjoy a huge greasy burger when they have been starved all day?! The drinks machines just fascinate me! You can pick a brand of drink, for example, Fanta. Then you can choose pretty much ANY flavour that you fancy. Which is brilliant! I love the strawberry Fanta, and the lime Coca-Cola. I can tell you now that I would not recommend the Orange flavoured Coca-Cola. It just tastes wrong. Now the only concern I have are the fries. I have tried the normal ones and the Cajun ones. They just aren't done right. The plain ones taste like raw potato that has been fried, which just aren't nice, however, should you get the Cajun ones, there is so much spice on them and at the bottom of the packet, it just makes you cringe. This does not stop me from getting them though if I need the stomach space filling. To summarise, as someone rightly said, who I don't remember. It is like a greasy filled heaven wrapped in foil, I may have even said it myself. Would recommend to the burger lovers out there, big shout out to you guys. Vegetarians/Vegans, just don't even bother.

As you can imagine, trying to find a take-away, or somewhere to eat-in is so limited, so it was really exciting to find somewhere that does a completely vegan lasagne that wasn't smotheted in pepper or chilli & it tasted amazing. I also ordered the vegan burger & was once again pleasantly surprised to find I could actually add goats cheese to it, I have never found anywhere, especially through delivery, that allowed me to do that, most seem to think I'm choosing vegan, so I wont want to add goats cheese, or eggs, I am not allergic to either of those, so it was so nice to have that choice. Delivery was very fast considering the distance the restaurant is away from me. On arrival, the driver was very pleasant & the items were packaged in really strong boxes to avoid the food getting damaged. I have not had a chance to try to the burger yet, because I suffered with my eyes being bigger than my belly syndrome, so I will save that for a midnight snack or for tomorrow, but the presentation looks really good. It is impossible to comment about the ambience in this review, because it was a delivery, not an in restaurant experience, but I was pleasantly surprised to find this is a restaurant as well as a take-away. I will definitely be booking a table with you within the next two weeks where I am sure the experience will be just as good, or even better Thank you for a very smooth transaction Wildwood :)
