They might be knowledgeable in their skills; however, respect, etiquette, boundary and privacy for…read morethe patients must be improved tremendously. I have seen Dr. Chen for acupuncture treatment since February. So far, I have had no doubts about her practice in acupuncture and cupping skills, although I have not seen any improvements. Last Saturday, I went to see Dr. Chen for my acupuncture treatment. After She completed the acupuncture and cupping treatments on me, she left the room with the door closed. I immediately got off the bed and was about to put on my bra. All of a sudden, I heard extremely light two knockings on the door; however, I was not sure if the knocking was from the door where I was in or the next room. While I was contemplating, a man opened the door. I was so freaked out and shocked. My immediate perception and reaction were that I had to cover my breasts and turned my body around. So that man, Dr. Chen's husband, could not see my whole upper body. He stood at the door for a few seconds, looking at me, then walked away and closed the door. I was very annoyed in the room. My question is "this is not a big clinic and all rooms are connected. How come the person assumes the light two knocks can be heard by any patient? At least, asking for permission like "is anyone inside" or "are you finished"? "May I come in" must be preceded by the knocks. And how did they assume that the patients can put on their clothes in a few seconds, especially after they have just waken from the acupuncture and cupping treatment?" They should allow patients sufficient time to recover from the acupuncture and cupping treatment and put on their clothes. After getting dressed, I went to the reception area and paid for my treatment. Dr. Chen apologized and explained to me, "my husband got the wrong message. I told him to clean the 2nd room, but he went to the 3rd room." Despite her apology, I still feel traumatized. I hope that this review makes them attach greatest importance to privacy, boundary, respect and etiquette for the patients. I have gone to several acupuncturists and doctors in the Bay Area, but this has never happened to me. I will never go there again.

TL;DR - I have been incredibly impressed by Dr. Guo's precise diagnosis, effective treatment,…read moreextensive knowledge of human anatomy, and his patience and willingness to listen. I've been dealing with PPPD/chronic dizziness for the past two years and have seen numerous neurologists, chiropractors, physical therapists, and over 15 acupuncturists. Dr. Guo was the one who made the breakthrough. After just three treatments, my chronic dizziness greatly improved, and I was able to resume most of my routine activities. I was amazed by the results. I even flew my mom and sister-in-law out from NYC to see Dr. Guo for their back and neck pain treatments. I highly recommend Dr. Guo if you're looking for an acupuncturist! First Visit: During my first visit, Dr. Guo conducted a thorough examination, having me perform various movements after I described my symptoms and concerns. He then explained his potential diagnosis and treatment plan in detail. Dr. Guo is an excellent listener and super friendly. This is also a family-owned business, and Dr. Guo's partner, Dr. Chen, is also an acupuncturist. I also requested Dr. Chen's herbal treatment plan for my dizziness, which complemented Dr. Guo's care. It's always great to see Dr. Guo and Dr. Chen discuss and review the treatment plan together during their breaks. You essentially get the benefit of two doctors at once! Typical Treatment: In a typical session, I update Dr. Guo on my symptoms or any specific areas I'd like to focus on, and he creates a treatment plan tailored to that session. Dr. Guo is always extremely accommodating and willing to go above and beyond for his patients. On days when I reported issues other than dizziness, Dr. Guo made sure to address those as well. He has performed cervical and back adjustments for me and taught me exercises to do at home. Additionally, each session includes a short massage from a massage therapist. Environment: Dr. Guo practices in two locations - Belmont and San Francisco. I primarily visit the Belmont site, which has easy parking and is both clean and spacious. The clinic also provides gowns for patients to change into, adding to the comfort of the experience. Overall, I've been extremely impressed with Dr. Guo's skill, knowledge, and dedication to his patients. He is undoubtedly the best acupuncturist I've encountered!

Emily is a WONDERFUL practitioner!…read more A few years ago, her practice was recommended to me after coming down with Long COVID. While I didn't know much about acupuncture, Emily was kind enough to go very slowly and answer ALL my questions along the way. Since I've been with her, she's been able to ease my Long COVID symptoms (along with other treatments), decrease my endometriosis symptoms, and improve my circulation, which helped my POTS issues. Today, I'm doing much better thanks to her help. Also, in these last six months, she's added acupuncture for anti-aging. I've started acupuncture for the face, and it's already showing results: more vibrance and decreased forehead lines. I'm happy with the results so far, and I'm curious how the next year will go using these natural methods. I recommend entirely Emily for her acupuncture care.

She has not only completed her training at Five Branches (the best!) but she also has TCM ophthalmology training and has helped one of our family members heal from a torn retina (even confirmed with tests from the eye doctor.) Our entire family sees Emily and I have such a deep trust in her and her healing philosophy. TCM takes time and healing is a process. If you are looking to truly heal from the root issue, Emily is your doctor. We are so grateful she cares for our entire family.
