I love my martial arts, so much so that there was a time I was doing it 6 nights a week. I enjoy the working out, working up a sweat and using the mind to "play chess" with sparring opponents.
However, when the training stops and I have to go home I crave more exercise. When that happens you look at ideas for keeping in shape at home, so naturally the treadmill is the first thing you think of. Well, it was for me anyway...
So we travelled down to Fitness Warehouse to check out their extensive range and were impressed. They have so many different makes and models, with so many different options on board. There was one big problem I found with the place though.
The price...
With prices that can skyrocket higher than $1000, I was quickly turned off. I managed to find a cheap little treadmill at an online store for $300. There were no bells and whistles, you just turned it on, the motor ran and off I went, but that's all I wanted.
Ultimately it's up to you. If you can afford it and you want premium equipment then this is the place to go. For the rest of us, you might want to shop around. read more
