I got a week-long membership for my vacation at the location in Roma. The middle-aged employee with bleached blonde hair who works at 6am charged me twice for a scoop of protein powder and creatine she sold me, saying that she hadn't charged me initially even though my credit card statement showed duplicate charges for the same amount. If you're remotely foreign-looking just keep in mind that the employees are going to make their shitty life circumstances your problem and will try to rip you off. I really like these gyms for the most part. They have the kind of energy where you get a good work out and it has everything you need to workout hard. However some (of course not all) of the members there are extremely rude and lacking in workout etiquette. I'll give two examples. Exhibit a) Today I was working out (not on this location. They have several locations) and i was about to use an empty leg press. There was a woman right next to the machine (not on it) doing standing donkey back kicks (for your gluteus) however if one was to use the empty leg press machine she would kick you right in the head. All she had to do is move 2 inches to the left and she would not be kicking right into the leg press machine. I made her aware that she could kick me or anyone using the machine in the head. She got extremely angry that I said that. She even went to complain at the front desk. That is crazy!. When I workout I am AWARE of my surroundings and know I am not the only one in the gym. I would never not notice that my movement may hit someone accidentally. Its pure common sense and its being CONSIDERATE of others. How this woman felt that I was in the wrong its crazy. Exhibit b) People do tri-sets all the time and refuse to let you use any of the 3 machines they are using. If you try to get to use one they will just say NO I am using the 3 of them. They text while they workout and literally sit on the machines to text. Also they use the machines to set their drink and use another machine leaving their drink in another machine unattended. It just seems like they lack an awareness of their space and the people around them and they lack consideration for the other members. I could give other examples like doing abs under the smith machine not letting anyone use the smith machine for what is intended to be use for until they are done using the space under it..?!... Again lack of consideration and common sense. There is an area specifically to do abs.. The thoughtlessness from some of the members can NOT be blamed on management because these self-entitle actions is something a person learns as a child or not. You would think anyone knows the gym's apparatus are not coffee tables or furniture to put your stuff on but machines someone else may want to use and pays for using. So not setting your drink on them while you wonder around the gym is something you do not need a manager to tell you. Also being careful to not possibly cause an accident would be a "given".
