Staff are very friendly and helpful and they are always about should you need them. Gets very very busy straight after work but only to be expected as it's just opened. Lots of fit men walking around with not alot on!!!! Deffo one for the girls!! Pool, spa and steam room is awesome and can't wait to try the classes. Cafe is small but adequate, serves lovely protein shakes. Would recommend to any fitness freaks out there!!

Ok so machines get broke and take over a month to fix sometimes much longer than a month which I think is an absolute joke, sometimes multiple machines are broke and months down the line still not fixed! Theirs a mirror in the gym which has been smashed for nearly 6 months and it's being kept together with black and yellow tape?! Theirs also a group of mirrors in the swimming area which span across the full one side of the swimming pool and guess what they kept up with duck tape! This would be very dangerous for anyone who is swimming or walking around bare foot, if one of them mirrors come loose or the tape gives way the glass will fall and smash on the walk way and in the pool, many children swim here too so it's just a bad idea to use duck tape to keep mirrors on walls! The cafe advertising fresh food, let me tell you the food ain't fresh at all maybe the bread and milk but everything else is frozen or in packets! I signed a contract paying £25 a month and they have put the price up to £29 a month without even telling me! No email no letter no signs in the gym nothing, they just take money without even asking if I'm willing to pay the extra £4 or not! Many items have been pinched from people in here, they will pinch your old training gloves if you turn your back. Today I've had a dorma towel pinched from the hooks in the passage way next to the pool, dw say it's my own fault for leaving it there and that I should keep it in my locker when I'm swimming. Here's the problem theirs a sign walking from the shower room into the locker room saying "please towel dry before entering changing rooms" please tell me how we are meant to keep our towels in the lockers when we not allowed to walk in there wet and how it is our own fault if our towels go missing from the passageway. The shower room has 4 showers broke and one full side of the shower room has yellow and black tape keeping you from cutting your feet on the 6 broken tiles which will take months to fix, that shower room should basically be shut down until all the tiles and showers are fixed, if anyone slips and lands on them broken tiles they will be ripped to shreds! This list of problems seems to be endless and i could go on all day about all the little problems but tbh just do yourself a favour and join a different gym. I'm handing my notice in tomorrow along with my 3 friends who I train with and we are joining the new pure gym in roker, DW has took the water out of us for way too long now all 4 of us are sick to death with them!

I have been a member of Club Zest now since April 2008 and I love it…read moreI had never previously exercised and was nervous at the prospect of joining a gym but I have never looked back and I would highly recommend the club for ladies The gym is ladies only giving it a laid back atmopshere and all members are friendly towards each other The club offers a wide range of cardio and weight machines and also a fab programme of classes including spinning The staff are all brilliant and make you feel at ease, I have made a lot of friends through Club Zest and will continue to go here on a regular basis The prices are also very reasonable compared to most gyms

The pool is ideal for families and manages to cater for lots of varied swimming needs without displacing any group too much. the cafeteria is clean and well organised and offers a good range at reasonable prices. I was in Sports Centre management for 14 years and this compares favourably with anything I have seen all over the UK
