"Telling me I'm not thinking this through" when in reality I didn't care it wasnt even for me I'm getting it for someone else. So after a while of waiting he told me he didn't have it so I said "thanks anyways" and decided to leave. HE THEN DECIDED TO FOLLOW ME OUTSIDE AND START YELLING AT ME OF HOW IM MAKING A MISTAKE AND NOT THINKING THING THROUGH as im pulling out of his parking lot in front of my wife and kids. So I pull back into the parking tell him about his trash business Practices and how he lost out on money for the most part because he couldn't accept a simple choice a customer made. first beer store I tried in clairton pa never want to go back.

I mean, its a beer distributor--what's there to really say?…read more All that I will say is that this place has been here for years and that Jack (the owner) can get you anything, including some of the more difficult to find brews and he'll take requests for ya! Been coming to Liberty Beer for the past two years and am consistently happy with both selection…read moreand prices. While the parking situation can fill up during prime hours, it's otherwise very convenient. During COVID the store is regulating how many people can come in and out, and there are plastic shields up for the registers. Because it's small you have to police yourself in the aisles, but if you're a responsible adult you should be able to manage fine. They always have killer craft beers from both local and non-local breweries, it's very easy to ask for guidance and find a new brew that will keep you coming back for more.

However we were close by and remembered this place used to always have a good selection so thought we would stop to see what they had. They still had a decent selection. However I think some of the other distributors have definitely stepped up their game making the selection here less impressive. They have both local and out of state craft availability. However I didn't see much that I haven't seen at other stores. The main reason I probably won't be back. It's a pain to shop. No employee offers help or asks if you need anything. There is no organization it seems. You can barely open the cooler doors. Also there is beer stacked everywhere and tiny aisles making it difficult to actually browse. I was constantly having to move out of the way for people going by and eventually just decided it wasn't worth it to continue to look.

I've been in enough places to know what good prices look like as well as selection. Of course right when you walk in you are hit by a large display of a good beer at a great price. That is a nice way to be invited in. They have rows of cases of beers. They have all of your standard beers along with a nice selection of craft beers. There is a cooler in the back if you need to crack open a cold one as soon as you get home or to the party you are headed to. (PLEASE DONT DRINK AND DRIVE). They have an area where you can buy single bottles of craft beer or make a 6 pack of them. They also have a few in a small cooler as well. (Again-PLEASE DONT DRINK AND DRIVE). The gentleman at the counter was friendly and helpful. They also sell ice to cool down your beer if needed. It's BYOC. Bring Your Own Cooler.

Five minutes later I pulled into the building's drive-through and ordered a case of Yuengling. Case went in my trunk and after signing my credit card slip I was on my merry way. My dealings with both managers/owners and the several staff i've met, have all been stellar! They all have bent over backwards for me and my friends and have been useful both with advice and any assistance we've need in keg selection and tap selection. Their variety is the best I've not only seen but had to date here in Pittsburgh. I say this because previous to Mellinger's we had used another distributor who supposedly had a great selection, but could never deliver, nor even tried to deliver. Mellinger's only missed one of our selections once, and made up for it with apologies. So to wrap that up: The service is amazing and the best i've had in Pittsburgh, and the selection matches as well.
