We arrived a bit weary in Harris after a long drive and the cafe was a welcome coffee break for us . Despite the fact it was almost closing time they made us very welcome and honoured our order . There is a good snack menu and delicious home baking well worth trying . The tables are old trestle sewing machines and there is a great selection of art work on the walls ( all for sale ). The staff are very friendly and helpful , so much so , that we returned on our homeward journey . We weren't disappointed . read more

Best coffee we've had on the islands - and we've had a few in the last few years of touring. Americano was served as two shots of espresso and a pot of hot water so you can mix to taste. Service is really chatty and warm. Cakes were equally as good. read more

The tearoom was busy. We waited 40 minutes for a table. Meanwhile my grown children got to the tearoom before us and got a table and ordered their meal. Because the place was so crowded, we could not join them. My daughter finished her meal before the rest and came outside to ask me if I wanted to sit with the rest of the family while we waited. My husband meanwhile was ordered our food as carry out. I sat down in her spot and talked to the rest of the kids as they finished their meal. A staff member walked up and YELLED (I mean REALLY YELLED) at me for sitting at the table and told me that I was WASTING HIS TIME. Then he proceeded to repeatedly yell this at me over and over again as I hurried out of the business. My husband had just paid for the food or we would have never given this place our business. The food turned out to be nothing special, indeed the bread was stale and the filling was ridiculously sugary. read more
