I'm so excited this place is finally open here! They have great variety on their menu and everything I had was fresh and flavorful. We were greeted with great smiles upon our arrival this morning. Our waitress was great as well and I cannot remember her name but please know it's not because our service was mediocre. She kept the coffee pot full and made sure we had everything we needed. I had the Trifecta which comes with eggs, either a waffle or pancake and your choice of bacon or sausage. I enjoyed it with two eggs over hard, crispy bacon and a waffle. I also ordered a side of breakfast potatoes for my table to try and share. Those were great as well!! The restaurant has lots of windows that offer exceptional light and holds a lot more people than I thought. I highly recommend dining here. You won't be sorry. read more

We spent the night in St. Charles and randomly chose First Watch for breakfast. We loved it! It has a happy atmosphere with a great staff who are friendly and accommodating. Our food was delicious - not just ordinary breakfast fare. Lots of outdoor seating as well. We definitely recommend! read more

the food was amazing, the service was great, and not too long of a wait. i would definitely love to come here again and try new items on the menu! read more

I LOVE their Belgian waffles. And their other food I've had is just as good. They close at 2pm.....and I get there a lot right before they close. The restaurant is packed, no matter what time it is. I can see why! read more

Signed my name up for a table. Said the wait would be 30 mins. They sent me a text confirming my name on the list. After 40 mins, and the app showing I should be seated already, I went in to talk to them about my table. They said I had only been there 10 mins out of a 30 mins wait. I showed them the text stating the time I had put my name on the list. They said I would still have to wait. After another 15 mins I went back in and guess what my name was no where on the list. Had to demand a table outside since they obviously gave MY table away to someone else without verifying who that person was. Hostess was rude and cold, food took forever to come out, had to wait an additional 10 mins just to have the waitress greet us. I will not be returning to this location ever again. It took over 90 mins just to get our food. read more

I'd really give a 3.5. Pros: clean, friendly staff, varied menu, fresh ingredients Con: They can't cook an over medium egg. My husband ordered over med eggs with avocado toast. The eggs delivered were over easy. Husband requested new ones. Eggs arrived in 1 min 45 sec. These eggs appeared to only have had brief interactions with the pan. Yolk cold; surrounding whites runny. Sashimi eggs, really. Husband explains to two servers that this is not over medium. They suggest that maybe he order over hard. Husband reiterates that he would like over medium. They appear to be uncertain of the definition of over medium, suggesting that over medium is subjective and can vary between dining establishments. Husband then reveals that he has been a chef for 25 years. (He has prospective cooks make him three types of eggs as part of their interview process.) He explains that an over med egg should have a warm, soft yolk that does resist minimal fork pressure. (Minimal fork pressure on an over easy egg will easily yield a runny yolk.) And there should be a bit of browning of the whites. Third egg attempt rendered one successfully cooked over med egg, the other was over hard. So.... Of the 8 eggs: 2 over easy 2 raw-ish 1 over med 1 over hard I recognize the cooking of the eggs is only one problem, and the restaurant has a lot of positive attributes. But... Its a breakfast place...and eggs are the cornerstone of breakfast. My suggestion would be for all staff to become more knowledgeable on the cooking specs for eggs. Not being able to properly cook eggs to various doneness in a breakfast joint is like a steakhouse not being able to differentiate between medium rare and medium well. Eggs are YOUR steak. Respect your eggs. Warmly, Dina And check this out:https://www.ahealthysliceoflife.com/how-to-make-the-perfect-over-medium-egg/ read more

In town for our daughters soccer tournament. Enjoyed brunch here today. I ordered the skillet hash with bacon and avocado. It was delicious. All of us enjoyed our food immensely! The staff was efficient and friendly. Looking forward to trying it again (maybe tomorrow!!) read more

This wasn't my first time at First Watch, and it most likely won't be my last. Great brunch spot, but the food this time was sorta bland. I ordered my normal French toast combo, but it was very bland. The bacon was also too greasy to truly determine the bacon's taste. I tried adding as much as I could to my meal, but it never worked out. The restaurant was very noisy and packed as well. If you're looking for a quiet, quaint brunch spot, First Watch (at least this location) isn't it. read more

First visit to this location. We went in on a Saturday morning, and were seated immediately. The restaurant was clean, and the noise level was perfect. Not to sound boring, but I ordered the same thing that I always order: The Teifecta. The eggs were cooked over-medium as ordered. The Belgium waffle was light and fluffy. My husband ordered the same thing and his breakfast was the same. Our only complaint was our bacon was cooked a bit too much and was too crispy. However, we ate it all. Our server was sweet and efficient. A nice breakfast. read more

Fantastic!! Healthy options and it all tastes delicious. They can be busy so be prepared to wait a bit but the wait is worth it!! You have to try there frittatas and potatoes. Highly recommend. read more

Also one I heard a lot about and have been a couple times. A little pricey for what you get. Food is hit and miss, nothing was terrible but some was just ok and others were good. Won't be my first choice but would go back read more

I really had a good experience. The only reason 8 am not rating 5 stars is because our table was too small. It was two of us so rightfully we were seat in a two person table. The problem was that once we got our plates and drinks we could barely manage not to accidentally push 5hungs onto the floor. Our waitress Amy was so energetic and funny. I will be back! read more

First watch is really good. They have classic breakfast items to please those who like to stick to what they know, and they have some modern versions of the classics for those who like to try new things. They also have a lot of healthy options. The atmosphere is pretty cool. read more

I had brunch there this morning with my mom, and the food was great, as always. But I want to give a huge shout out to our server, Mary. She literally provided the BEST customer service that I've ever had from a server in a restaurant. She was friendly, and said " my name is Mary, and I have the pleasure of taking care of you today" From the way she suggested popular meals when we asked, to being patient, to giving us to-go cups of coffee on our way out. She was great, and everything that exceptional customer service should be. It was really refreshing to have someone who went above and beyond. Thanks, Mary! read more

I'm a regular at First Watch! I love their kale tonic and salmon frittata. If you're a bacon lover, you definitely have to try their million dollar bacon. My French toast lovers won't be disappointed either! Nice, clean food! read more

We have ate breakfast here a couple times, service was always ok, food was always good, but this visit really sucked,, we were seated in a well lit area,, but watched as 4 more tables came in,, all got drinks and coffee, orange juice ect,, one was even ordering there food, we must have been invisable,, and we will stay that way from now on. read more

Waited 1 hour to seat which is not terrible for a brunch place on a Sunday. After seating waited 30 minutes for someone to come ask us if we even wanted drinks. Another hour for our food (just avocado toast). The avocado toast was literally 1 half a piece of bread and nothing else... if you plan to spend an entire Sunday at breakfast then maybe this is the place for you, otherwise there are so many better options in the area read more

First Watch always has great food and service. And I love their seasonal specials and juices!

Ok, serve wasn't good. We waited for 10 mins for the waitress to come and ask us what we wanted to drink. She came to the table asking us did we want coffee and did not have any water. We asked her for water and she took forever to come back to were we had to ask another waitress for water. And of course the order was messed up. Very disappointing. read more

My family and i flew in from out of town and decided to walk over from one of the surrounding hotels. The hostess informed us that there was a wait which we expected and said was fine but then she also said we weren't allowed to stay and wait inside. We explained that we didn't have a car to wait in and instead of trying to find a solution said we'll I can't allow you to stay in here and it's going to be like a 20 min wait and then preceded to just stare at us. So, we left. We walk down to a cute little coffee shop name Picassos down the road less than a 5 minute walk down the street and by the time we walk in I get a text saying our table is ready. Worst experience I've had with a restaurant I wasn't even able to eat at. read more

service was so amazing, food came out quickly and was so tasty! atmosphere felt like i was on vacation! loved it

I don't care for the decor at this location, being used to the Miamisburg, Ohio location, which is "bright and sunny". This one is rather gray. But! The food is still fantastic. Please note that there is an additional tax added for the Streets of St Charles location. It's a tourist tax or something. Just having moved here, I don't know anything about it. read more

This place is absolutely AMAZING! The waiters and waitresses are so caring and always make sure you get exactly what you asked for. The food is never disappointing, and every time I go it always reaches my expectations. Whoever trained this location, is a top notch family friendly person and none of the associates ever let you leave unhappy. I will always be a consistent lover of this location!! When the season is right and you get to sit outside and enjoy the sun, you'll never want to leave! read more

Dining in is much better than carry out. I've ordered twice now from first watch and both were subpar. Most annoying is that I specifically said I want "real", preserves for my toast. Despite that request they still included the little packets that have a shelf life of one hundred years..... how hard is it to take the same jam you provided for dine in customers and place it in a carry out container? Not very hard. Attention to detail is a great thing buts it lacking at this First watch. read more

Love the staff, the food and love that I can use nowait to always beat the wait. My favorite item was a shoe dial that got ran a few mo ths ago and it was huevos rancheros tostadas...I swear it was one of the best meals ice had in my life! read more

Solid fresh food. We have been here many times and tried almost the entire menu. You can't order anything that you will not enjoy. Ingredients are always fresh, service is excellent and the prices are reasonable. One of my go to breakfast places. I went with a friend on a Saturday, we used the app for the waitlist. When we arrived there, we got our table in 10 mins (which is perfect!). On the other side.. the service was really bad. The server was nice when she took our order. But while we were waiting 45 mins (which is ridiculous) for our food, she didn't check on us... not even once! We tried calling her.. but she kept ignoring us. Finally after waiting long enough, we decided to get up and ask someone what was going on. After the food came, our server kept checking on us and tried to be nice. But she should have been nice while we waited. Anyways.. food was good, as always. But I dont think it was worth waiting that long. read more

Love love love. One of my favorite brunch spots. I highly recommend the avocado toast or biscuits and gravy. So good! The staff is always friendly and the food is always out super fast! So glad they added one to the Streets at St. Charles! read more

Was here a little more than a week ago with a big family group,... about 16 people, lots of kids. We asked to be seated outside and got seated right away no wait. The service, despite being split across two servers, was excellent throughout. The food was delicious. Some of us had biscuits and gravy, some had one of the specials which was a calimex-skillet thing. Kids had pancake kids meals. Everyone was happy. It was packed inside, but the kitchen seemed to be on top of it because we got our food in a reasonable amount of time. Our servers were also very accommodating with how we split up the check. All in all a great choice for our family on the visit to see more family in the St. Charles area. read more

Really not good. Our server was incredibly rude. She got our order wrong, and said, "I brought what you told me." After a long wait for the wrong food, that is far from what I wanted to hear. The correct food was finally brought out with an eye roll. Like go home, if you hate your job that much. I haven't been to this location before, but I don't want to ever return. read more

Yum! Every time I'm here I leave feeling SATISFIED. Never overly full or lazy from eating to much. The meals are the perfect combo of balanced and healthy.
