Worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant. My wife and I went there for brunch on Valentines Day. We set a reservation and was told it would take another 40 minutes at the restauran. Then after being seated we ordered our food and nothing came in over an hour. In the end we left because of other obligations never received our food. I stopped into First Watch for brunch for the first time and was pleasantly surprised! This location is right off the freeway, so I expected a typical freeway breakfast joint. However it was very nice and clean inside and outside! We walked in and were immediately greeted with smiling faces. There were dozens of tables and the atmosphere had a western vibe to it. We went around noon on a Sunday and it was packed (always a good sign!) The wait time was about 20 minutes. After 15 minutes, we got a text saying we were next in line. We walked up to the host stand and were seated at a corner booth. I ordered the Florentine eggs Benedict. The veggies were fresh and the hollandaise sauce was perfect! I added some hot sauce and ate the whole thing! I wish they had sautéed the spinach instead of just putting it on the Benedict, but regardless, it was so tasty. I have no doubt that they would be willing to accommodate a request for sautéed spinach. I got to choose from a few different side options (potatoes, salad, fruit, or toast) and went with the fruit. It was a good sized portion of pineapple, melon and blackberries. Fresh fruit can sometimes be a hit or miss at restaurants, but this fruit was ripe and fresh! My cousin ordered the Classic Benedict with potatoes and said it was delicious! We both left full and happy. First Watch absolutely exceeded my expectations. They have several locations and make it very easy to order take-out online or through the app. I look forward to visiting again soon! read more

This is a great place for a fresh, delicious breakfast. Today we were a group of 5 plus an 8 month old. We sat on the patio (perfect morning for it) and our server Shannon was wonderfully attentive, friendly, and efficient. We had an assortment of entrees from both their regular and fall specials menu and everything was perfectly prepared and wonderful. We appreciate the quality ingredients and time taken to produce an excellent breakfast without being overly fancy. We were relaxed and didn't feel rushed in this cute place, and we will definitely return. My daughter and I were in Phoenix and in need of food after getting our nails done. We used get in line but it wasn't needed due to not being very busy. I think it was around 1:30 in the afternoon. We were seated right away and our drink order were taken shortly. We both ordered the purple haze drink which was very refreshing. You can taste the lavender aftertaste which sets it apart from basic lemonade. I ordered the Farmhouse skillet hash with over medium eggs and my daughter had the works omelet with no mushrooms. Wasn't sure what this was but decided to give it a try and am glad I did. Walking in to a pleasant looking dining area inside and I could see nice seating on a patio outside. I was seated immediately by a friendly Waitress at a clean, comfortable table that did not wobble as many do. I had my drink in about 30 seconds after I sat down. When I was ready she was there taking my order, asking all the right questions and off she went. My meal arrived very quickly; hot and fresh. It smelled wonderful and tasted fantastic. First Watch's service has gone down in the last two years which is really unfortunate. We have ordered take out at various locations and their description and when we order for our kids, they always leave out the fruit. Their menu and photos very clearly show a medium sized ramekin with fruit, but they never include it. Children need fruit for good health and First Watch is not only providing false advertising but also insufficiently providing children with essential nutrients. read more

First watch is a favorite for us. When I heard one opened up down the road from us, I was elated! Usually we would drive 30 ish minutes to the closest location. I took my nearly 2 year old daughter for brunch here the other day and we had a wonderful experience. I decided to try the new Purple Haze drink and my goodness!! I'm a sucker for anything lavender so I knew I'd love it, but I LOVED IT! I even had to get one to go to bring to a friend to try. I had the elevated egg sandwich and my daughter the kids egg and bacon breakfast. Everything was cooked to perfection, seasoned just right and tasted absolutely delicious. Not only was our food great but our waitress was super! She was so attentive, very sweet and even told us about when her daughter was my daughters age. I know this is a new dish, meaning they did not have it for the Fall seasonal menu for previous years. All I can say is- I hope they bring this back next year! Mushrooms are one of my favorite foods so this was amazing to me! The "Truffle Mushroom Hash" comes with eggs on top of a bed of roasted potatoes, Shiitake and Cremini mushrooms, crispy diced bacon, and Monterey Jack Cheese. On top, parmesan cream sauce, truffle oil, and lemon dressed arugula. All of the flavors worked great together. I REALLY enjoyed this. It smelled and tasted amazing. My sister got the "Morning Meditation" to drink. Super pretty and tasty! It is beet juice and orange juice that they make in-house. I heavily recommend this! I needed a pick-me-up so I ordered an iced vanilla latte. Nobody come for me for this but- it was just the way I liked it: coffee that doesn't taste like coffee. Haha. Their complimentary hot coffee, which my dad enjoyed, was also really good! They don't just give you a cup, they leave the whole pot at your table along with assorted creamers. I really appreciate the emphasis that First Watch puts on healthfulness. Our server even told us that they have no friers! There is even a "Healthier Side" portion of the menu, featuring some low calorie options such as the "Healthy Turkey" omelette and the "Power Wrap". We just moved here from out of state and are staying at a RV park nearby while we wait to move into our house. We tried coming here last week at 1pm and it was PACKED so we decided to try again today and got up early to come check it out. I put my name on the waitlist online just in case, but getting here at 8am it was still pretty empty. The space is pretty large and very farmhouse style feel with the decor. Very neat and clean and they are enforcing distance between tables. The menu is chock-full of healthy options and meals made with fresh ingredients. Yeah, it's fresh! Like, seriously fresh. I was so thrilled to finally be able to eat something healthy and fresh with all the fast food we have been eating! It definitely took me a while to decide what I wanted to eat. There is sooo much to choose from and everything sounded amazing. I ordered the red medicine drink and hubby got the coffee. The juice was crisp and the bold tart flavors combined well with the tea, honey and cinnamon. It was the perfect juice to kickstart my day. The coffee was more robust than hubby is used to but he loved it saying it was not bitter or too acidic, and I love the story behind Project Sunrise! Hubby ordered the French Toast. The custard was an interesting addition to the batter in that it made it more "egg-y" and the texture was more sponge-like which he really loved. It was the perfect combo of sweet and savory with the syrup added. The compote was sweet and tangy and the butter on top was also good (tasted like a cinnamon butter). The syrup bottle was warm which is a huge added bonus! Pouring cold syrup on a warm piece of French toast or pancake stinks! He also ordered a side of two farm fresh eggs and they were cooked to perfection and it was evident they were fresh! I ordered the Healthy Turkey omelet with a Cinnamon Chip pancake on the side. The omelet was cooked thoroughly (I hate slimy eggs and these were not that at all--clearly cooked on both sides and not overcooked either), and all the ingredients were fresh and crisp. Have I mentioned everything is fresh?! Because it is and it's clear they pride themselves on it, and I am beyond excited to have found this place and get a fresh home-cooked style meal!! The toast and jam was delicious as well, and I loved the extra tomato slices on the plate...which again were evidently ripe and fresh! If you are here during the winter, do yourself a favor and get the Cinnamon Chip pancake (even if you just add a single one on the side). The pancakes are massive and fill the entire plate, so keep that in mind when ordering. I couldn't pass up trying this flavor since it's seasonal. I took the first few bites without adding any syrup to give it a taste on its own and holy cow it is so good. Thin yet fluffy and airy. And those cinnamon chips are so interesting. I am not usually a huge fan of cinnamon flavored anything but these were scrumptious. The perfect balance of sweetness and not too overpowering with the cinnamon. I added the syrup for the second half and it just added to the overall flavor of the pancake. Slam dunk right here and I'm so glad I got one to try. I just noticed that this is a chain throughout AZ so I am hoping we have one near our new house, otherwise it's totally worth the drive up here for this location specifically. Rose was our server and she was patient while I took forever to pick what I wanted, checked on us frequently (but not too much which I appreciate), and just added to the overall pleasant dining experience. The staff is extremely friendly and courteous, they fully sanitize the tables between guests, and the food is FRESH, delectable and absolutely worth the 5 stars. Come early so you don't have to fight the crowds, but if you do come later in the day and have to wait to be seated, trust me, it's worth the wait!! read more
