We saw an ad for this on social media and decided to give it a try. There was a bit of a wait on a Sunday morning but it was SO worth it!! I would have given them a higher rating because the food is very good for the most part but the service? Not so much. I realize they are still working out the kinks. We went in for the first time and asked to sit outside. We were given a long statement about someone needing to clean off a table. We thought it would be done. It wasn't. We waited and waited. Finally I said we would eat inside so at least we could be sat. He looked at us like he'd never seen us before. So strange. We were finally sat and I think the manager finally woke up and realized he wasn't be very welcoming and decided to try to turn things around. Was so excited for the Cumming location to open but was sadly disappointed. The place is noisy, the service is mediocre, and worst of all the food was bland, sides were missing, the eggs were runny and everything was plated as if they just wanted it out of the kitchen. I tried the one on Buford Highway, to see if it was just this one location. It was marginally better but still not great. Terrible experience. Would give 0 stars if I could. I brought a family member here from 2000 miles away because I thought this would be a great experience for us. I was wrong. Upon entering, we overheard our server say "I'll take them." No problems yet. She walked us to the table and immediately asked for our drink order-- we hadn't even sat down. When she brought the drinks out the water cups were dirty, and when she returned I asked her to take them away because they were dirty. Natasha, our server, did not apologize and sternly said "ok" and walked away abruptly, WITHOUT taking the cups. Then she came back to take our order. Everything was fine until my friend's boyfriend was ordering (in the nicest way possible). When deciding whether or not he wanted mixed greens or another side, my friend asked her something about the menu. Natasha rudely responded "Well YEAH you get a side either mixed greens OR something else." She was extremely rude and impatient. Finally, our food came out. I hadn't even TOUCHED my my food and she had ALREADY brought out the check. If I ever return I will make sure to have another server, as this had not happened before. Thank you Mark and staff, I've been fortunate enough to travel all over the country, all major cities and believe me this is the very best breakfast I've ever had. French toast was prepared perfectly, yummy butter and hot syrup, not too sweet and the bread was superb. Bacon was freshly cooked not warmed up and almost had that delightful campfire taste. Orange juice was outstanding, possibly freshly squeezed and I nearly ordered a second large glass but was too full. I rarely write reviews but was overwhelmed by the excellent service and quality of my meal. 10 stars!!! Wish I lived closer for I would frequent First Watch often. A must breakfast!!! I had such a great breakfast at First Watch this morning! My veggie omelet was delicious as was my coffee! I hope to return soon!

First off, I love first watch for breakfast. However we had a terrible experience here. When my party of 3 arrived there were seats available. The hostess sat us at a table and wasn't very friendly. After looking at the dirty table the 3 of us sat to one end of the table that appeared to be the cleanest. I asked the hostess if she could wipe the table down as it had sticky food on it. She went away supposedly to get something to clean the table with. While she was gone our waitress came to take our orders. While she was there the hostess came back to wipe the table and wiped the section of the table we weren't sitting at. We all looked at each other with a "wth" look. The waitress then went and got something to clean the entire table. I will say the waitress was very kind and attentive. Two of us ordered the lemon ricotta pancakes which are one of my favorites. They came and were pretty much room temperature and not hot. We didn't feel like highlighting the below par food and just ate our food, got our checks and left. I considered not leaving a tip but our waitress was kind and she shouldn't be penalized. However if the hostess shares in the tips, I hope she uses her money to get an attitude adjustment. Extremely bad and slow service. After waiting for 45 minutes, I checked to see where our place was in line. Came to find out that there were already two tables available and no one told us. I asked to be seated outside since there were three dirty tables available and was told to wait for the tables to be cleaned first. No one was in a hurry to get these tables cleaned so that people could be seated. Finally after another ten minutes, the table was cleaned and we were seated only to be waiting some more because no one has even checked on us. I will NEVER come back here again. Edit: Okay I am updating my review now. After waiting for ever and ever, I decided to go to the manager and complain. He apologized and took care of us. He did not charge us for the breakfast which was the right thing to do. We appreciated his attempt at making it better for us. read more
