A few things I'm always looking for when I'm sojourned in a place. One is a good sushi place and the other is a good breakfast/brunch place. First Watch does and excellent job of meeting that need. This place has the feel of a diner with food that comes out looking not at all like diner food. While presentation isn't everything to me, when it looks like the cook put some effort into making things not only taste nice but look pretty, it's worth noting. Had Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict recently, and my first comment when it was sat in front of me was, "oh, how pretty." Food tastes pretty good here also. Because looking good only goes so far, naturally. I've been pleased with what I've had here enough to make it a multiple visit place. And, the wait staff is really nice! First of all, the food was OK. It would be better if the Bacado dish could be warmer. I gave three stars because: - It took about 10-15 mins for our waitress (Ashley) to show up. I forgot if she even introduced herself?! I got her name from the receipt. - it took another 15-20 mins for us to get the cool-warm Bacado dishes. (We ordered two Bacado dishes) - Ashley never checked our coffee. We had to ask for it. - After we got the food about 40-45 mins, she started to ask if we need any box. - We nicely told the cashier what's going on to us. The cashier said to us: We are pretty busy. Went for Sunday breakfast. Only waited a few minutes after signing in. After we were seated it took over 15 minutes for our waitress to show up. It took twice as long to overcook our omelets once our order was taken. Oh, during that first 15 minutes, we just sat there, no offer of coffee or anything. Other than being overcooked, the Baconad omelette was not that bad. Im not sure if i would recommend this restaurant or not, might be just a bad waitress. Asked at checkout if everything was ok, i said no and explained the issues and was told without care,"well, we were busy".... really? Busy??? Maybe just not caring. Wow. Stopped here for a road trip and the food was amazing. Everything from the Kale Tonic to EVERY dish we ordered. I am usually not a fan of breakfast, but this place had such an eclectic and tasty menu I highly recommend. My kids are always annoying to eat with because they will eat like 3 things, but devoured the chocolate chip pancakes. My oldest said her food blew away Anna's House back in Michigan, which is her favorite place to eat. The only downside is this will probably be the only time I get to eat here, thus never get to try the rest of the menu read more

After an unpleasant experience at another place nearby, I decided to come here and try my luck. This places lives up to its good reviews. I ordered the Red Medicine, which is a fruity beverage of pomegranate juice, cinnimon and other fruit juice. The drink was very good. I also ordered the candied bacon and eggs benedict. The bacon was on point. Eggs were very well cooked. Service was friendly, although you might have to wait a bit for a table if you come here on weekends. Definitely a 5 star review. In and seated quickly. It got super busy while we were there, when we left people were waiting to be seated we could barely get out. The food was excellent, hubby had the Hacienda Hash, I had Carbonara Eggs Benedict. Both super clean, delish tasting. Neither left us feeling groggy or stuffed in that sick feeling way. The grits with butter were delicious and we also sampled he sausage gravy which was flavorful. It was different for us in that the sausage was very finely ground. Our server Kimberly was excellent very friendly, checked on us, and provided us with top offs for coffee and water, you'd have never thought there were packed full based on her attention as a server!! Arrived at 9am on Saturday morning and were seated immediately. The service was a little spotty but generally good. Everyone in our party was happy with their food. I had the seasonal special - Elote Mexican Hash and eggs - delicious. I also had the morning tonic juice with orange, beet, turmeric and ginger which I really enjoyed. Usually the dish doesn't arrive looking half as good as the photo, but in this case the food lives up to the hype. First Watch (at least this location) has been declining in quality for years. My most recent try and probably last was incredibly disappointing. One meal was missing ingredients, and everything was cold, undercooked (the potatoes), overcooked (the eggs), or just not great quality (brown avocados). Going inside is a nightmare considering the waiting area is so small and acts as a line to pay, sign up for the waitlist, the actual waiting area, and pickup area; the area becomes crammed and impossible to get through, which is especially concerning when nobody is wearing masks. Overall just an unpleasant experience and I recommend sticking to Charleston's local restaurants. read more

Good, easy stop when traveling the freeway with much better food than fast food places. During Covid-19, we dined in and they did a great job of applying all of the important safety protocols. She was very kind and I could tell would provide great service. I ordered a cup of coffee and she quickly returned and took my order. My food came out shortly after. I couldn't do it due to my lack of appetite. In the end I still ended up paying for my 1 cup of coffee weird. I left a small tip just to show my appreciation for the service that I did receive before the incident. It's not her fault the cooks were careless in preparing my food. Long story short.
