What I saw happen to my own son please avoid this place at all costs. The bed bug bites were horrific and the so called staff I saw on video call the residents disgusting names. I paid but immediately got my son out and into another place. They should be investigated and I am speaking with people about doing that. They should not be considered a halfway house unless they mean halfway into the grave. read more

This place is a joke. 99% of the residents here are on some type of community control. The directors do not give a shit about the clients, and if you ask for help, you will be ignored. I was one of 4 white guys at the complex out of 100+ residents. This facility is located in such a bad neighborhood that I had one of the directors advise me not to walk alone since "a white boy like me would not survive". They claim to have a strict no drug/alcohol use rule, but I personally know of people that were allowed to stay because the staff liked them. The apartments are complete trash with 4-5 people living in them. There are bed bugs everywhere. No TV's or even internet access to assist in your job search. Avoid this place at All Costs. There are much better halfway houses for the same price that actually help you get back on your feet. read more

Love the meetings here. Really inspiring. Just had to find a program that was free. As for inpatient this is the best program

first off for the idiot bashing first step must be a clown who entered the program just for a place to stay or was terminated for violating one of the rules. first step is a structure program and they have about a 70% success rate. i entered and completed and im actually doin the best ive ever done in my life. if it wasnt for this place and my sponsor i would never have been able to read the dumb shit posted on here about first step. they tought me how to read and write. and as far as the bed bug issue goes why dont you thank the guys who bring in clothes off the street without washing them before taking them into their units or why dont they stay outta these hourly motels with these hoes where they pick them up from and bring them back too. see first step has the tools and structure needed to get ur life back on track. its ur job to use them. can lead a horse to water but cant make him drink. as far as the lady goes about her brother, im sure he was helped to get outta jail by first step and decided to screw his own program up to go right back to jail. im grateful and thankful for what first step has done for me and my life as well as for my family. love u guys and thank u. read more
