I am a widow and retired and my church family checks on me. Our pastors teach straight from the bible BUT ohhh let me tell you our church is not boring. We laugh a lot and man our worship team is awesome. We have a wonderful very active children's, toddler, pre teen and youth group that is ever growing. The teachers of each of these groups are teaching all about Jesus and making it fun for the kids to be interested and learn. We have a really interactive bible study on Wednesday, a men's bible study on Tuesdays, and bi monthly ladies meeting. We call ourselves BOSS that stands for Band Of Salty Sisters. Oh and we eat every week too. We have several other groups as well. If you are looking for this type of loving laid back spirit filled bible based church home come try us out. Services Sunday 1030 and Wednesday 6 pm bible study. I guarantee you will be welcomed with loving open arms. We have been going to Trinity for over eight years. My grandson has grown up in that church. He is now 10, and has been saved and baptized. We have a infant and toddler class A phenomenal Pre Teen and youth group classes. It all starts when they are four years old and they go to Miss Becky's class and start learning about Jesus right there. A basic, down-to-earth non-pretentious church, accepting and very nice, not a formal dress code, all walks of life, very caring of the entire city as evidenced by their events such as soccer and fall festival that draw folks from all over town. Parking is easy, the main parking is away from 155, the secondary parking lot is on 155. Several entrances but everyone you meet is helpful if you're looking for 9:30 Sunday class rooms for each of the age groups. Sunday night and Wednesday nights are terrific too.

Where many of the original churches inside the perimeters of of the Victorian railroad town have been replaced by new construction, FUMC continues to serve still. Many generations have been brought up here, seated in this congregation and, like myself, are still drawn to return. Inside the doors one will be enveloped and warmly greeted by both familiar and new faces. FMUC is truly nestled in the community and gives those attending a sense of family and historic pride. So wonderful to see that this beautiful church still a vibrant part of Palestine.

They have these Mission weekends where they go help others in their community. Last month they built two wheel chair ramps and transformed a house of a lady going through cancer. They invite you to join them on their journey of faith. I'm glad I joined them on it. It looks to be a Great Adventure.
