This is a good bible believing, evangelical church, a small faithful few that has a wonderful pastor who teaches strictly by biblical teaching- using scripture and reading passages from the Holy King James Bible-original and New version, I believe. I no longer attend, but members are a loving group, welcoming anybody warmly, accepting them with open arms and I got my first real understanding of the role of the Holy Spirit and basic biblical teaching at this church. Many wonderful memories. I was actually baptized through this church in the middle of winter in Decker Lake just outside Austin, Texas! Freezing cold, felt like the Holy Spirit so presence in the Sunday worship and at my baptism. It's a holy roller, Pentecost based faith and I do recommend visiting, maybe becoming a close church family member there. Love Pastor Vikki !!

Dear Friends Meeting of Austin, Austin Texas Ukrainian…read morecommunity is deeply concerned about the "War in Ukraine" book readings in your venue. Author's harmful and inappropriate genocide cheerleading should not be given a platform in Austin. She doesn't speak Ukrainian or Russian. She can't make sense out of the war. She calls it a conflict diminishing its scope. It's a war. Furthermore she calls it "senseless" when it isn't. Ukrainians defend their statehood. That's not senseless. Russians aspire to destroy Ukrainian statehood, deprive Ukraine of sovereignty, and partition Ukraine. These goals are clear, and calling them "senseless" out of all things again diminishes the scope of the genocidal and colonial Russian war. Medea Benjamin also walked Congress protesting giving Ukraine F-16, the jets that Ukraine has been asking for for more than a year now. She is thus obviously doing Russia's and Putin's bidding whether she admits it or not. Having such a person advertising her senseless take on a war in Austin is intolerable. We are active and young diaspora in Austin, having deep connections with Ukraine and having families there now, feel this is harmful. We are rallying weekly in front of Texas State Capitol on Saturdays from 11 am to 1 pm and we are asking you to join our rallies to meet Ukrainian people and people from other countries who support us to express your solidarity, speak to us and, hopefully, to avoid this shame and senseless events in future!
