Then I found out that DeSoto had an Urgent Care of Kansas clinic that opened in my hometown of De Soto, and I decided to give it a chance, though I was still incredibly anxious and skeptical. From the moment I met Dr. Saboor Rashid, the experience was different. He didn't just listen to my long list of symptoms; he really listened. He was attentive and took the time to examine me. He confidently diagnosed my issue and assured me, "I know what that is, we're going to fix it." When I left the office, still filled with doubt, I returned to ask him to confirm my diagnosis. His compassionate response, "Let's not worry about the diagnosis--take the medicine and come back to your next appointment. I do believe you," was exactly what I needed to hear. Just as he predicted, I started getting better. He has since put me on a path to healing, and my chronic conditions are improving. The severe rash that tormented me for so long is finally gone. My arthritis is under control. I'm looking into different ways to lose weight. I have also been able to get off medications like Xanax, pain pills, and Suboxone. It isn't just Dr. Rashid who makes this place special, although he could be, is that amazing. Tony, who man's the front desk,( I do need to set an appointment) answers phone calls, provides technical support with the tablets and is right on with his ability to handle insurance and patient questions all while keeping everything else in order to not once has shown if he was frustrated or makes me feel like I'm annoying if I ask questions. He is amazing. In all my visits to both the De Soto and Gardner offices, I have yet to encounter a single person who is rude or condescending. The entire staff is knowledgeable, truly wants to help, and will help. I've never trusted a doctor more and can't recommend this clinic enough. When my kids need urgent care, who are 4 and 5 years old; one of them has a brain injury, they come here too. I can't give this place enough stars and I'm not exaggerating if you're looking for a new primary care doctor or you just need to get urgwn, this is the place to be you won't find a better team! But my son needed to be seen. I called the facility twice and spoke to a delightful woman on the other end who answered my questions and gave me directions. She wasn't pushy or rude despite calling more than once. The interactions with the front desk staff, the nurse (Susan ?), the x-ray tech (Amy?) and the doctor was extremely pleasant. They were patient, kind, and didn't seem to rush or cut corners. Even though the foot wasn't broken and we ended up leaving with an air cast and the rest/ice run down, I felt the appointment was productive and was confident with the diagnosis and recommendations given. Fast forward, we needed a note for school. The original fax didn't go through correctly. I called the next day to ask if they could resend the note. Now, I know they were busy because they put me on hold. Despite this, the receptionist who answered the phone was kind, responsive, and quick to resend the information I needed. Not once did I feel like I was an inconvenience which is rare in the world of medicine. Patience and kindness make such a big difference. I called the clinic and spoke to the receptionist, who verified that she scheduled a physical, then I spoke to the office manager Misty, who stated it was a work physical, and they consider each physical a different type, such as work/school/personal. I verified with insurance there was no such thing as different physicals. Then I tried to call the billing office for 2 weeks, multiple times a day, and Brittany never answers or returns calls, I then called main hospital who sent me to the billing supervisor, who was extremely rude, she said they sent it as a regular office appt not a physical. and she had no intentions on changing it. therefore my daughter should get a refund for incorrect coding, because they decided she came in form something other then what she stated. This is now being disputed. WATCH YOUR BILL IF YOU GO HERE, THEY ARE KNOWN FOR LYING AND CHEATING.

When I confronted them, they argued with me about whether the door had been locked or not. Then they asked if I could come back at 9:00 AM the next day. I needed URGENT Care, not NEXT DAY Care!
