Dr Wren did Rezum procedure on me for enlarged prostrate on 5/15/26 what bothered me about this is he never came to my hospital room to discuss the results of the procedure or the next steps going forward for recovery. I can write a whole lot more about the service I received from his office including no return phone calls or messages I just wanted to state the most obvious lack of communication. Needless to say that after 4 months visiting this office & still not knowing my real health issue I changed doctors on 8/24/26. read more

Dr Fernandez: nice, but not responsive when it came to cholesterol and BP meds which were not working for my uncle. Caused us to find a different doctor who addressed the issue and was shocked that Dr Fernandez didn't address this with the numbers being as bad as they were. His assistant Lynette: a horror show of a person. Rude, dismissive, mean-spirited. As nice as Dr Fernandez was as a person, though not attentive enough to us when it came to my uncle's health matter which we kept trying to bring to his attention, she was equally as horrible in her demeanor toward us when we accompanied him to the office, and then on separate occasions she was rude toward my uncle. When calling the office in the Sarasota location, you have to deal with receptionists at this office who are as rude as rude can be. The staff seems angry that patients require cardiology care and intervention. There is an attitude that they are somehow above the patients they are supposed to be helping and very condescending toward vulnerable patients. Also, Dr. Fernandez, who seems quite sweet, sadly has an assistant who was extremely unpleasant in how she spoke to my uncle when he had to deal with a cardiac event that had taken place, and follow up with the doctor. Why are such mean-spirited people allowed to work with humans, let alone sick / vulnerable ones - And when you call this doctors office for questions about a medication, or a follow up to a recent appointment, you expect a call the same day, even if it means after hours. Instead, you get, "oh well, sorry, they're too busy with other patients. If you have a question about your medical situation or your medicines, you need to just go to ER." Today, I left work an hour and a half early. I drove 40 mins to SMH Nokomis location, for an annual Gyn check up. It took 14 mins to find parking. I walked quite a long distance to enter the hospital. I was advised I was in the incorrect building and redirected. I rushed to the correct location Ste. 202 . I arrived the at 3:07 for a 3:00 appt. I was abruptly told I will have to reschedule. I responded with, "No, That isn't acceptable." Stunned, the receptionist said she'd check with the nurse. Five minutes later, a very condescending nurse of Dr. Battaglia explained I exceeded their strict 7 min rule. i explained, I was there at 3:07 and I refused to reschedule. She reluctantly said she would check with the Dr. At that point I made the decision that I did not chose to associate with a business that speaks to their customers, with no regard, concern, nor empathy. I told her to forget about it. There are 100 other offices out there. An hour and a half of my day, wasted and nothing accomplished, other than this review. Doctors , I've been around for a minute. Teach your staff that we are the ones paying their salaries. Be kind. People have jobs, lives and stuff happens. read more

First physicians the abuse worst medical around. I've been a patient for over year and still have the same complaint as when i was first seen. In one year they've done absolutely nothing nothing to improve my health. I've had five of the same procedure by Dr Micheal Slater. The only result has been increased insurance claims, nothing has been prescribed to eliminate the pain I continue to have the pain's with little reliable information regarding ideas. Dr Slater seems like a nice guy,but I've found he has few answers and gives the impression of a guy on an assembly line put on headlights as the cars go by. Add to that it takes over six months to get into him and you haves Peter that says if your looking for quality care, this isn't the group you want. . Dr Slater bragged to how he has hundreds of patients. All, most likely are fed to them based on their association with Sarasota Memorial Hospital. He went strangely quiet when I questioned him about it. Lousy customer service. Doctors that don't offer relief just file insurance clams and keep touching back for useless procedures are what they're all about , so if you need aGIdoctoer, avoid this group. read more
