If I could I would give US&L 1/4 of a star. I had a mortgage with this bank for 15 years. I always…read morepaid my mortgage on time and paid extra toward the principal. A job transfer found me moving out of state and I needed to sell my home. My property was not worth as much as when I purchased- a common theme in that part of Indiana. I called US&L to discuss options. I was transferred to the collections department. I was treated so poorly and had no conversation about my options. Given that my credit score is extremely high and I had never been past due on my mortgage payments, I will never understand why US&L treated me so poorly. If you're thinking of using them for a new mortgage I would recommend reconsidering.

I'm constantly amazed at companies moving everything online that never consider the "true customer…read moreexperience." Ruoff sold my mortgage to FifthThird bank (they boast "a 5/3rd more!" Who would name a bank this anyway?). Of course I setup autopay but when you go to your mortgage account at 53.com, you can't see ANY of the autopay info ... none. "It's a system only employees can see..." Too funny. They'll give you an 800 number to call.
