Initially a very friendly bank, but I guess that's how they suck you in. Online banking was very…read moredifficult as there was someone else that banked with Big Sky Western with my same name and the online banking for Big Sky Western wouldn't let me log in because of it. One single time, I over-drafted my account by about $20 without my knowledge and without previous explanation, or later notification, they charged me not only an initial overdraft fee of $27, but a charge of $5.50 per day for a month before I was notified that my account was in the negative. As it is an account I rarely used; mostly just to cash a check here or there, and I never got any mail statements, I was completely unaware of the issue. Very unclear communication when I first opened my account that this could potentially happen, and, even though I have never had an overdraft problem at any time before, they were unable to reverse the charges, and pretty rude when I tried to clear this matter up. Now, I will be paying off $160 worth of late charges that I was never informed of and that was unfairly charged to me. I feel robbed and taken advantage of. Needless to say, I will be closing my account with Big Sky Western a.s.a.p., and warning friends and acquaintances about the scam surrounding this institution.
