Our daughter & son-in-law are having their first baby, so she is 27 weeks and wanted a 4D scan. We, along with her in-laws, got to sit in on it. The tech, Micah, was very nice and helpful with all of us. She explained everything that we were seeing. Not 100% pleased with our scan today. I felt incredibly rushed!! I finally requested that she stop moving the wand so I could just watch the baby move but she continued to move the wand and said she was having to move it because of the baby moving. However, in another instance I asked her to stop moving it and it was fine but it just happened to not be in a good spot. And the pictures we took afterwards with the signs were not great. Not her fault, my husband didn't smile and my son made a face and I didn't like my outfit like I thought I would. I was hoping for a magical experience but it was only so so. read more

Such an amazing experience!!!! While visiting family in Baton Rouge, we decided to find out the gender of our baby at 14 weeks. The room where we had our ultrasound in was beautifully decorated and offered comfortable seating for my family and friends! The owner was extremely friendly and the way she revealed the gender to us was so sweet and memorable. Days after my family couldn't stop talking about how amazing this experience was and neither could I. I was SO impressed with this experience. My husband and I were on the fence about doing this. But we decided to go for it because I wanted some peace of mind seeing my baby in action. Not only is the studio so lovely and cozy, the shop has some really cool gifts. Everything from gender reveal items, heartbeat audio frames and stuffed animals, blankets, outfits, bibs, monogramming, etc. She also has great referrals inside for local photographers. We made our appointment online in advance and selected our package. Everything was very smooth once we arrived. She REALLY knows her stuff and tells you exactly what to do and makes you very comfortable. She doesn't rush you and she's so sweet when talking about your baby and explaining what's common (like how she sees babies play with their umbilical cords.) I'm so glad we went and love our photos and video. Especially love my heartbeat picture frame :) She also pointed out that it was good that we didn't wait until the end. We went at 26 weeks and she mentioned that as the baby and placenta grow larger it can be harder to see what's going on. Definitely something I'll do again in the future. I went to first glimpse at 14 weeks and will be going again at 27 to do the 3d/4d next week. I was impressed from the start, as I love the personalization that you get. Its a very comfortable room with monitors everywhere so you can view where you are most comfortable. its very cozy, as the set up is like a bedroom rather than a doctor's office. I booked my appointment online to have the 3D/4D ultrasound at 29 weeks and it was a hassle free experience with a few reminders sent to me as I got closer to my appointment date. They actually had a cancellation the day before and called to let me know I could come in for my scan more than an hour early if I wanted and we did! We had a smooth, easy check in process and the scan itself was great! The technology was wonderful and the photos/video were very clear. We upgraded to have all photos and video on the app instead of a CD and I highly recommend that. It was a $10 upgrade and worth it since all of our family is out of town! It was super easy for everyone to download the app and have access to the images and video on their phones. The lady who did our scan was kind and patient and takes a lot of pride in her work. I have always used angel prints for my ultrasounds but after my last experience there I decided to try this place out. Not only is the atmosphere so much more inviting but the service was unbelievably amazing for my family and myself. The lady that scanned me was actually the owner and she was so awesome! I am reviewing their boutique (I have heard great things about their scans, just haven't had one). My sister in law lives in Baton Rouge and I am out of town. I called and Micah sent me pictures of items in the store and helped me pick out a boy item and a girl item. Then when my SiL had her scan, Micah wrapped up the right gender gift and gave it to her as a surprise. It was PERFECT and I would never have been able to pull off such a special gift without her. Amazing customer service and beautiful boutique items at an affordable price. She is my go-to for all baby gifts! She also ships items in nice packaging so that's a great option too. I would like to start off by saying my first experience was truly nothing short of amazing; hence, the 3 stars. I purchased the Early Gender Reveal package for 13 weeks, and I was so excited with the DVD as well as the pictures. Now on to my second appointment to confirm my babies gender, I will admit I was late (in my defense I called to see if I needed to reschedule), I arrived no other customers were present so we make it to the back and my baby wasn't really cooperative, as well as my ultrasound tech wasn't as friendly as the first tech which made me a little uncomfortable, the DVD captured moments are nothing to remember because they were not good quality baby shots. I was skeptical about calling, but after a friend told me what a great experience she had at a competitors facility even after her baby didn't cooperate she was asked to come back, I called and the person on the other end of the phone didn't seem to thrilled to talk to me during the call back. Her question was did you confirm the gender (basically it's not our fault if the baby doesn't cooperate you know what your baby is), then her next thing was well weren't you late (I could have rescheduled and paid the fee if I was informed that I would have received bad shots of my baby for tardiness), then after that it's nothing we can do about it (I'll just write a bad review about the great customer service), finally we can schedule next week and I will give you more pics but we will not do another DVD (she didn't ask was I available just let me rush you off the phone satisfied or not). I'm really appalled because I read all of these positive reviews before my arrival and thought I would experience the same blissful moments and I feel cheated now with a very expensive price tag. I said all of that to say this, "if you are positive your unborn will cooperate go here, but if there's a chance that your unborn may not this isn't the place for you," sarcastically speaking. read more

We went here for our 3d ultrasound. Our appt started late. The place was so hot I had to fan myself with books and I was sweating the whole time. The tech was very quiet and played with her hair a lot during the session. The equipment seemed a bit old. The images were blurry compared to other places. And this place was $50 more than the place I went to find out the gender. They have a policy that if the session doesn't go as planned b/c of the placement of the baby- you can come back for free on another day. Well my baby only cooperated for literally 30 seconds out of the whole hour and we were not offered the option to come back and try again. The other place I went to find out the gender at 16 weeks (Angel Prints in BR ) was a much better experience! They beat this place in every way. Friendly, NICE rooms with HUGE tv screens and HUGE sectional couches, much better equipment, and much cheaper. read more

I highly recommend coming to First Glimpse to get a sneak peek of your little one and for finding out your baby's gender! I have been in several times, first to find out we're having a baby girl, and also to check in on our baby between Dr visits. I have had an amazing experience every time. I went to First Glimpse a few weeks ago. I was SOOO disappointed. Kim the tech was not nice. Not only was she not nice, she was cold. Her comments were short and direct "There's a bathroom in the back to empty your bladder". I entered the room she never discussed or explained anything. 3D/4D kind of creep me out, I paid for the 3D/4D package, but requested the majority to be 2D...she didn't honor my request and when I asked for more 2D she quipped "I got a picture in the 2D already". She left me in the room for approx 15 minutes "waiting on the baby". When she returned she spent a few more minutes then said "Well, glad the baby cooperated at first." She ripped the pics off the printer and left the room. I was left wondering if the session was over, assuming it was because Kim didnt return, I walked out of the room. She walked passed and said "You can look at your pics and put them in the envelope". I thought it was just me, but my husband noticed it too. As soon as we left he commented about it. Having used Angel Prints in the past I had high expectations....this was horrible and I can't get back that moment ever again. The pictures weren't that good and the DVD is HORRIBLE compared to Angel Prints. DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID... go to Angel Prints instead!!!! read more
