This parcel of land that in now called "First Fleet Park" was first established in 1788. Many historical events had taken place here where I am standing today.
The parks location is near the site of the first landing of the first fleet, bringing European settlers to settlements in Australia in 1788. This site is where early contact was first established between the original inhabitants ( Cadigal people) and the new settlers.
This parcel of land was also where the first residential/ commercial buildings /first wharf/first marketplace/first post office. Now I can see how this park got its name "First Fleet Park".
Today the park offers residence and tourist alike a place to relax and enjoy magnificent views of the city and bay, while you stroll & learn about the parks history. The park is located near Sydney's main cruise terminal at Circle Quay. Shopping/Restauranrts/Hotels/Museums/Cahill Expressway readily available near-by.
In continuing the tradition of being "first", I give "First Fleet Park"
" first "review 5 stars ! Woo-Hoo !
