These people will lie and feed off of your situation. They rush you through documents telling you one thing and then turning around and saying something else later. We were told the money we paid up front was, "essentially a security deposit." in those exact words. Then come to find out that you forfeit that money if your contract is up and you decide to move. I asked the question specifically and was lied to. Also told that if there are any major repair, they would repair it and put the amount on the end of the loan without increasing your payment. Also, not true. The house was quickly flipped and things were covered up until you looked deeper. The sliding glass door was rotted and leaked into the inside floor rotting that as well. Something that was just covered up with flooring which was cheap vinyl planks. The floor and door was replaced at my expense. The roof had broken boards from a tree that fell on it and they lied about knowing about it though the tree was cut up in the back yard and the contractor was in the attic several times to put in vents. Several water lines leaked inside of the walls in the main level and in the basement. we were told that insulation would be blown up to the attic since it was so thin but that never happened either. There was more like asking about the insurance which WE pay for but could not use after a storm damaged the roof. It was difficult just to get someone to return your calls and when they did, it was a quick, "sucks to be you." I would be extremely careful and read the fine print no matter how much they rush you or what they tell you. I learned the hard way and it cost me thousands and probably more before this is over. There is so much more I could say but that should be enough. Good day First Financial. read more
