Hi so I have Mrs tamela Swanson for my phsyc care in the orange park office 1 and she is so kind…read moreand caring she really makes the effort to be comforting and understanding she takes her time to get to know her patients and actually listen to their needs and wants for their mental health, she's never once made me feel like my mental health or feelings aren't valid , I've had some terrible phsyc care ( and some terrible therapists too) and I can honestly say Mrs tamela is the kindest and most genuine provider I've ever had! I 100% recommend her to anyone and everyone. If you see this Mrs tamela thank you for being the best phsyc provider I've ever had ! And for therapy I've been equally blessed with a therapist that goes above and beyond , I have Mrs Alisha albritton and she's so amazing she genuinely makes me feel so safe and cared for she's so supportive and always goes way above and beyond, she's taken time out of her schedule to email me extra resources when I need them and even extra ideas to help with my coping mechanisms, she genuinely listens and makes me feel so heard and important she's kind and genuine and I really appreciate her so much I highly recommend her so much everyone deserves a therapist as amazing as Mrs Alisha albritton in orange park office 2 ! Went a couple times, thought I was going to be helped, but all they did was push pills at me and…read moretell me they would make an appointment for me to talk to someone. Which they never did. I decided not to go for a third time, and told the doctor there that I would not want to be returning. She apparently made me an appointment anyways, and charged me 50 dollars for not showing up. Definitely would not ever go back to this place, huge rip off that takes advantage of people who need help. Now my credit got hit and I'm out 50 bucks.

I've been seeing Dr. Madkaiker for 4 or 5 years now, since my last psychiatrist retired. I saw a…read morecouple of other psychiatrists before I found Dr. Madkaiker and when I saw him for my first visit, I knew he was the doctor for me. Like most psychiatrists, appointments are not very long. They are not therapists; they are there to manage your medications. Dr. Madkaiker has been very good to me. When I first started seeing him, I had been on the same medications for many years and they had been working great. He listened to me and actually believed me and that I knew about my body and he kept me on the same meds. Many other new doctors want to start changing meds around. I'm of the mindset of "if it's not broke, don't fix it." When I had cancer and had to have a kidney removed, I had no choice but to finally get off one medication that was helping me the most because it would have interfered with my kidney function and I only have the one left. He took me down off that medication and then introduced a new medication. The new medication he chose doesn't work quite as well as the other one (but we knew it wouldn't), but it does work pretty darn well. He always listens at each visit and he makes suggestions and allows me to choose my treatment with him. It really makes me feel like I have a say in what is happening with my mind and body. Telehealth appointments! Yes! I'm all about those! His front office staff is phenomenal! Tommy works the front office and I absolutely love him! He's usually the one who calls me and I'm always thrilled when he answers the phone! I like the other people in the front office too, but I just feel Tommy has made a point to get to know me and I enjoy talking with him. I love the fact that after Telehealth appointments, they always call me within half an hour or so to make my next appointment. Major points for that because I would totally forget! If you are in need of a psychiatrist, I highly recommend Dr. Madkaiker. I've been seeing shrinks since 1987 and he is one of the best I have ever seen!! Wheelchair and service dog friendly!
