This is a…read moretraditional Montessori learning environment, that encourages kids to develop a life long love of learning. The classroom is quiet and calm, giving kids the best environment to learn I have come across as a parent. No over crowding, lots of play time, and help kids begin navigating friendships and conflicts successfully. Having opted for the private Kindergarten, we hate to leave and wish they would add more grade levels.

The parents are very involved with the school and the outdoor environment, is great and green . His teachers (Mrs. Gloria and Mrs. Lyeen) are wonderful. They are dedicated, passionate and intelligent. We know our son is getting individualized attention and they are allowing him to grow at his own pace (i.e., not just at the common denominator of the class). They are cultivating and developing the whole child. We are simply amazed at how much he is learning and advancing. All while becoming a compassionate and polite individual. We always feel supported as a family. They have been great throughout the enrollment process. They are always planning activities and the children are never bored. It's an efficient and well run school. We are enrolling our 3 yr old son given how much his older brother enjoys the school.

They have all made…read morelasting friendships and went through social growth (conflict resolutions, best friends, etc). They were all well prepared for kindergarten and made the school transition easily. My kids loved their teachers and would talk about all the neat facts, silly songs, yoga poses and fun lessons from their school day. We did the option for Soccer Shots program as well. As a parent, I appreciate the early drop off (630am!) and late pickup at 6pm. The teachers assist with specific transitions such as introducing food (directed by parents/packed lunches/snacks), potty training (kids will help each other line up), and phasing out nap time for kindergarten. We weathered through COVID - the staff and owners were clear with limits and expectations. As a healthcare worker - the school remained open and an option throughout the whole time. There is some teacher turnover, but there are also staff/teachers who have been there for years (and taught all my kids - Ms Cheryl!) . I never had any issues about staff interactions with the children. Ms Anand (owner) is available on site and also responded via email quickly. She knew all the kids names and was always pleasant.

Really appreciate the mindset, class and approach of this facility, and thankful for the owners thoughtfulness.

I attended this school from 2nd grade through high school graduation…read more What makes this school unique is how it does not follow the traditional schedule of most schools. Breaks are taken from elementary school on to have students experience the world around them. Each year students take a different trip, starting in elementary school to places like MEsa Verde or Bent's Old Fort. In Middle School there are many programs to choose from that allow you to take a break from constant studying and explore topics that are interesting for you (I remember taking comic book art and acting). In High School the ECS program cannot be beat. A whole month off to study a topic in depth while traveling? I went to Italy and Bulgaria with these programs and felt that they enhanced my life and encouraged me to explore beyond what most students have when finishing high school. It also gives students the opportunity to play sports when they may not of had one in other schools. It may have changed since I was there, but anyone who wanted to play a sport could, and tryouts would only determine JV and Varsity levels. Small class sizes and dedicated and talented teachers make this school stand out. I owe a lot of my bright future to the great education I received at this school.

PARENTS BEWARE:…read more Feeding our baby breast milk from a stranger's mother was the final straw. But this was preceded by an instance of walking in on one of the caretakers shaking a crib a little too vigorously for comfort (all the while saying "GO TO SLEEP, GO TO SLEEP...."), and two months later my wife saw an open notebook where the teachers communicate during shift change where she read "fu*#! This MotherF@#$ing place see you all in hell tomorrow..." Given that the well-being of our children are in these people's care while we're off working each day, I'd expect that kind of behavior would result in an immediate firing. But despite our reports, not an apparent slap on the wrist resulted. Our infant was diagnosed with repeat cases of RSV (3 times) and ear infections several times. We feel this has a lot to to with a somewhat apathetic enforcement of their rules for sending sick children home and a generally unsanitary environment overall. This was all a shame, because there were some teachers that we really liked, but we just couldn't wait for another incident. The new daycare that we found was a bit more of a drive, but it's like night and day: When you walk into Young Scholars Academy, it's immediately like day/night from Little Sprouts. Everything is clean, it smells nice, each classroom has a structured curriculum posted with lessons in history, science, etc.. And mostly you can just tell that the vast amount of money you pay goes back onto making the daycare a much better place. At Little Sprouts, it's become very apparent that the money you pay goes into the bank account of a single person who exists behind the curtains. They don't even fill their hand sanitizers, bathrooms have been found to be missing either soap or paper towels (my personal pet peeve). 2 stars out of sympathy mostly, for the few good teachers that have to endure working at this place.

After touring many childcare facilities we finally decided upon Little Sprouts for our newborn. We…read moreare both teachers and love this school. The main pull for us was the organic meals and environmentally friendly approach that Little Sprouts implements. They also have a really nice outdoor play area and animals for the kids!!! The head staff, Sara and Tesa, are amazing individuals. Very caring and always there for you & your kids needs. Another neat thing is that they accept cloth diapers, which very few places will do. They've done a great job with getting my 10 month old into a sleep/nap schedule! This made this momma very happy. Also, the place is wonderfully clean. Everything gets deep cleaned each evening. I'm slightly OCD with cleanliness and I have no problem sitting on the floor and playing with my little one.
