What a great service! I used to always park somewhere in the town but yesterday, for the first…read moretime, I tried one of the two Taunton Park and Ride sites (the other being Silk Mills on the far west side of the town, a long way from the M5). The Gateway P&R is just off Junction 25 of the M5 - a left turning at the roundabout if driving south down the motorway. It's a huge site so plenty of space, even on busy days, and the buses run very frequently into the town centre (every 7 minutes throughout the day) and costs £2 return - less for people who visit often as they can buy a special ticket (which can be used at either site). The thing which impressed me the most yesterday was the friendly and helpful bus driver who gave me lots of information. There's no question about it - I will be using this service again!
