I reckon it all depends on what you're comfortable with in church. And, that's part of the issue... should we be comfortable in church, or challenged? This church is an old fashioned kind of feel, pews, not chairs... hymns not worship music. We got into two Sunday School classses but they both said they had over 40 members-clarifying not all come every Sunday. The message was good... but, at one point, I looked around and thought,"what am I dooming here?" This is not the usual thoughts for me during a message- conviction, love, heart clenching worship and sometimes tears are the norm. There also was no outreach after we were urged to fill out a visitor card and indicated we'd like to be contacted. Any way... I understand we go to a church gathering to be with fellow Believers and to worship not to 'get' anything... but the spirit in this church did not move me. read more
