I have been to many larger churches over the years and am grateful for each but honestly like the intimate feel from a smaller church setting where my family and I feel more connected. I would not hesitate to recommend this caring, kind and unique church to all to learn more about what building your faith and following in Jesus can do for you . That was a great location, but this is something new and in an Italian church so it's been a great experience. The food is good, the music is good, the merchandise and everything about it is really refreshing and I'm hoping they do it again here next year and don't have to keep moving. Ciao!

A wonderful Spiritual Home…read more I have been going to St. Philip Neri since 1985 and I have found my spiritual home here. The current Priest, Fr. Rick Paprinni is funny, wise, and caring. He really is trying to help the parish grow and overcome some of the stumbling blocks that can affect any church. The people, for the most part, are warm and welcoming and every year, the Peace and Justice Committee sponsor a wonderful Thanksgiving Dinner in partnership with New Seasons Market located across the street. On the third Sunday of the month the Altar Society puts on a delicious French Toast Breakfast for only 5.00. I invite anyone and everyone to come join us at either 4.00 on Saturdays or 9:30 on Sundays.

We first visited because it had been recommended by several as a solid truth and love filled church and we would agree. The community made us feel welcome and helped us get into a community group that we were already connected with from my wife's work. We have also had the chance to get to know more about the families and elders at the church and that has been confirming as well. It is also a good size I think, 2 services 100 to 150 people each service. We can't speak to the programs for children. They seem to have classes for elementary and younger most weeks. If you want a Christ centered and gospel preaching church that makes people feel welcome and serves the community and the world, we would definitely recommend this church.

Even Father Crispine couldn't bother to give me any grace or kindness and instead hurried me along when I tried to introduce myself. The feeling I got was that he felt insulted I would even consider myself worthy to speak to him. Not a warm place, and not what you expect from a house of the Lord. It's a shame because I think there is a school or a childcare attached to the church and the voices of the children playing outside brings so much joy, but I don't think they're apart of the church because I was told the Father isn't allowed to interact with the kids in the community which is strange and must mean they are unaffiliated.

And the church we were attending in Portland wasn't that. So we started going here, and the people here are on fire for Christ, full of the Spirit and in love with God. I delight to know Christ more than ever before. And I hope that my family can be a blessing to this church that has been such a blessing to us.
