After a few so-so services at varying places since being back on the mainland, my wife and I were…read morehesitant to look for new places to go, but were more than pleasantly surprised with Evangelical Free Church in Mt Shasta. The building was a bit of the way to get to, but not hard to find. It was in pretty good condition: the expected wear of an older church. The style was a bit old school, but it a good way. They weren't as focused on playing songs perfectly as they were with getting the meaning across and really worshiping. They had a good mix of older and newer songs. The message was pretty good - a nice mixture of scripture, application, and the additional digital video clip. The people were also really friendly, but not in that overwhelmingly creepy way. If we are ever in the area on a Sunday, we will be sure to stop by again.
