Dr. Bieber was my Obgyn three years ago. At the time I was having problems with a cystic left…read morebreast and he sent me for a mammogram. Shortly after my mammogram my right breast caved in from the bottom of my nipple downward, causing my nipple to point inward. I went back to see him a several months later for another issue and asked him about the breast that had caved in and nipple pointing downward. I told him I thought the mammogram machine had caved in my breast and asked him what I could do to fix it. He promptly told me that I could get implants or a better bra. I was shocked by his response. After this ridiculous comment and his lack of interest in helping me with menopause issues, I started seeing another OBGYN. When I began seeing the new Doctor and it was time for a mammogram, I explained that I wanted to have my mammogram done at another location since the machine used during last mammogram crushed my breast. She immediately sent me to the Woman's Hospital in Baton Rouge for a mammogram that has 3D imaging. When I arrived at Woman's hospital there was a sign at the front door that indicated several signs that indicate you could have breast cancer. One of the signs was exactly what my nipple was doing, turning inward. I first saw an Oncologist Surgeon and then had a mammogram which revealed a suspicious mass. The Radiologist said mammogram machines don't cave a breast in. I was diagnosed with Lobular Invasive Carcenoma, which had spread to all four quadrants of my breast; however, had not spread to my lymph nodes, which was a blessing. I hope Dr. Bieber will be more aware of the signs of breast cancer in women, so it won't be missed in any of his future patients, and hope he will be more compassionate when a patient presents a problem. Especially a woman going through menopause.
