My spare w/ two yellow stickers indicating MAX 50 MPH and MAX 80 KPH.

The manager checked me in for a rotation. He was very kind, courteous and welcoming. On my way out, I asked one of the technicians if they checked the tire pressure on my 4 tires, the technician stated they checked and aired it. I then asked if he could check the tire pressure of my spare (donut). He said not a problem and asked me to pull up to a bay where I met with another technician who helped me air the spare We pull the spare out of the trunk and I ask the tech "what's the recommended tire pressure for this spare?" He points to the two large yellow stickers on the wheel and says "between 50-80 psi". I sit there confused for a moment because The first yellow sticker (in large font) indicates MAX 50 MPH and the other indicates MAX 80 KMH (see attached photo). I thought perhaps he misread it so I pointed to the the sticker and I said "this states the maximum speed is 80 kilometers per hour and the other sticker says..." he interrupts and says "oh you can not drive faster than 50 Miles per hour." I ask again "so what's the recommended psi?" he again points to the two yellow stickers and says "between 50-80 psi." I then showed him where the tire sidewall states 60 psi. For the third time he points to the two yellow stickers and says 50-80. I then ask, "what does the maximum speed have to do with tire pressure value?" He appeared confused. I said the yellow stickers are not telling us a psi value. It's Miles per hour and kilometers per hour. I finally gave up and told him to fill it to 60 psi. He filled it to 61. I left the store quite concerned that either he doesn't understand psi, mph, or kmh. I then drive home and check the tire pressure on my screen. It appears they set my rear tires (typically inflated higher than fronts) on my left and my fronts on the right. (See photo). I ended up stopping at a gas station and corrected the pressure myself.

Destroyed engine cover!!!!!!!!!!!!

Updated review: THEY CUT A HOLE IN MY ENGINE COVER instead of removing it! They destroyed my oil pan, put an after market plug in it, it's leaking! The check engine light is from the coolant system that this store also worked on, and evidently messed up!!!!! DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO THIS FIRESTONE UNLESS YOU WANT THEM TO NEGLIGENTLY AND/OR MALICIOUSLY DESTROY IT! This Firestone has gone down in the last few months. I spent a lot of money here, they destroyed the oil pan on my Audi with a simple oil change and then lied and gaslit me on the phone when I requested to bring it in to fix the issue. I'm very disappointed and I'll never go to this Firestone again. The new manager is unprofessional and a complete jerk.

Walked in for my 9am. Was told I did not have a 9am appointment. Someone's lying...

I had my rear brakes replaced. They did a free inspection, were easy to talk to and had great service.

Poor customer service. I went in for a tire pressure check and the employees forgot to do it. Nobody was in the office or willing to help.

You might up paying for 2 tow bills like I did, a lost day, and the headache of finding another shop/time off work. I called at 9am to have the fuel lines replaced on my 68 Chevelle. Marcos told me they would look it at, had the time, and asked me to have it towed in right away. I arranged and paid for a tow to their shop, and Marcos confirmed they received it at 11am. I stopped by at lunch to meet him in person, add a few items like FiTech reset and parking brake adjustments, and he said the techs would get to it and he'd have an estimate by END OF DAY. No call from Marcos, so I called him at 4:30. Nothing had been done. No assessment, no techs looked at it, and when I asked so why did he have me tow it in, the conversation went sideways and he said "Maybe you should take it somewhere else" and that they'd push it outside and I could pick it up! My issue is not that the shop is busy (they all tell you that) - the issue is I paid for it to be towed in because he said they'd take a look at it and have an assessment by end of day. When I called him at 4:30, nothing had been done and I was met with the attitude/tone to take it somewhere else. I was pretty stuck having already paid for the tow there, and asked if they would get to it tomorrow, and he refused to answer and left me with no choice but to pick it up. Mission Auto gets great reviews - I'm not disputing that. That's the very reason I reached out to them. But I have to balance it with my very bad experience, so bad that this is my first yelp review. Warning: *especially if you tow your car to them, have them stick to their assessment timelines (not the fix, just the estimate). Towing it there means you are "stuck" so they don't have to stick to their word. The result can be a lost day, two tow bills and more headache/time off work to have it go to another shop because they won't acknowledge they missed the timeline THEY promised, and when challenged, will leave your car and keys at the door.

Spoke with Michael and he got me all set up for a Pre-Purchase Inspection (PPI) that same day. Upon first contact, I knew I made the right choice as he explained the process thoroughly and I was sold. Unfortunately, the report showed a ton of issues with the vehicle and Michael gave me a call explaining everything down to the last problem as well as a detailed report the following day. I was absolutely blown away as I've never received a PPI this detailed. Saved me a headache of driving 2 hours to inspect the car myself. Fast forward to a few days later. I actually ended up finding another vehicle in San Diego yet again and it was a no-brainer; contacted Michael again and he set me up with a second PPI. This car was in absolutely better shape physically and mechanically and he couldn't stress that to me enough. He gave me another detailed report as well as his personal opinion coming from a mechanical background which did help me feel like I was making the right choice. I ultimately ended up purchasing the second vehicle and couldn't be happier! Overall, I would absolutely recommend Maverick Motorworks and have had a beyond pleasant experience with Michael. Just wish his shop was in Los Angeles as I would be more than comfortable taking my car to him for service.

I had a great experience with Alex at Value Auto Repair. I originally reached out through Yelp, and he was responsive and answered all of my questions. His pricing was significantly better than what the dealership quoted me, but what really stood out wasn't just the price--it was his honesty. I came in with a humming noise that I believed was a bad wheel bearing but was unsure. Alex was upfront from the beginning after making the same diagnosis and even encouraged me to get quotes from other mechanics if it made me feel more comfortable so I could make sure I was getting a fair deal. That kind of confidence and transparency is hard to find. When I arrived, he was able to get my car in within about 30 minutes to diagnose it. While the part was being delivered, I went to lunch, and once I came back, he had the wheel bearing replaced in about 45 minutes. Before I left, he took the time to show me both the old and new wheel bearings, explaining how they worked and letting me hear and feel the difference. I really appreciated him taking the time to educate me instead of just handing me a bill. One thing I noticed while I was waiting was how many customers came in who clearly knew Alex. Everyone seemed genuinely happy to see him, several appeared to be repeat customers, and there was an obvious level of trust between them. After my own experience, I completely understand why. Alex also has a great sense of humor, which made the whole experience much less stressful. Most importantly, the humming noise is completely gone, and my car drives perfectly again. If you're looking for an honest, knowledgeable mechanic who charges fair prices and genuinely cares about his customers, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Alex and Value Auto Repair. I know I'll definitely be back.

At first, I was told it wouldn't be able to be fixed same day because it was the weekend, everywhere that sells parts would be closed till Monday. Everywhere else I've called were slammed or just not able to help me out till Monday, so I was getting prepared to cut my losses and wait till the next week which would have SUCKED because having to crawl through my backseat, into the front, to open my driver side door every time I had to get into my car absolutely sucked. Then Chuck said he'd call me back if he was able to find something. And lo and behold, he DID and fixed my door handle same day for a super fair price. So I'm just beyond thrilled and appreciative for his help with my last minute, worst-day-of-the-week-to-try-and-get-car-service request. As a young woman who knows nothing about cars, I know I have "overcharge me" written on my forehead. But my experience with Chuck was everything I was hoped for.
