THEY REPLACED THE WRONG TIRES THEN LIED ABOUT IT!!!!... I needed 2 new tires Front right rear left. I asked them to rotate the 2 new tires to the front. They replaced the front 2 tires in the front LEAVING MY DAMAGED TIRE IN THE BACK. GAVE ME THE CAR WITH the DAMAGED rear TIRE with 8lb's of pressure. Then refused to fix it. I took my car in for an inspection and oil change. They said I needed a caliper and a few other brake parts in order to pass inspection. The cost with discounts and coupons - $850! I never trusted this place, so I refused it. I took it to Goodyear down the road and it passed no problem. Over $800 saved just like that, Firestone also gave me report that I needed 4 tires soon, costing another $1,000. According to my passed inspection report the tires are A-OK. two weekends ago my AC stopped working so my brother in law offered to take it in when i was visiting the area. I got a call from my brother in law after he had left by car at Firestone @ levittown for a few hours saying they said i was just low on Freon and they just had to refill it. simple. except 233 dollars and a few days later ( having not used my AC bc I drove in the cooler evening and dont drive during the week ) my AC was NOT working when I was stuck in 2 hours of traffic in 90 degree weather. I returned to the Firestone my car was taken to and was told my brother in law was informed to come back if the AC didnt last because dye had been placed to check for a leak. a few things about this . I wasnt informed that a complete diagnostic wasn't run, I was told it was just low freon. I would not have agreed to have my ac "Fixed" there if they were planning on diagnosing the issue on a trial run after just refilling the Freon to cost me another trip back there on a gamble. Thats just lazy. The bigger issue at hand is when I went back the man at the counter was extremely rude. When I asked what needed to be done he explained they would have to look for the leak based on the dye they placed and fix the leak. Easy enough. at this point my brother in law had come by to pick me up assuming i was dropping off my car. The main issue is whenever i asked a very simple question like what the estimate would be, if the freon refill would be covered -the man at the front desk was very dismissive and condescending where he would say one thing to me then try to delineate further to my brother inlaw instead of myself. Now I speak perfectly good English, and informed him it was my car and I was paying. I am not deaf or mute. So either he had an issue with the fact that I am a woman, or didnt like the color of my shorts I dont know. at any rate im not about to be swindled and take any more crap as a paying customer so after making a phone call took my car to another shop. Not surprisingly the new mechanic i took my car to spent a few hours looking for the leak but said he could NOT FIND ANY DYE to show the leak but he had said ther was very low freon. Interesting. After wasting a few hours of everyones life looking for this supposed dye that was placed by firestone, he refilled the freon and dye , and ran my AC for a few hours. He found the leak coming from the AC condense and called me with the cost and estimate time and asked me how long it would take Gee... the second place sure makes it seem so easy to talk to a gal like me! Spoke to me and was able to DIAGNOSE, give me an estimate on cost and how long it would take in a matter of hours. when you take your car for an issue and want lazy diagnostic service ( if they actually even placed the dye and refilled my freon they charged me i'll never know) , want to be charged on the higher end of the estimate range, and most importantly want to be talked down to if you are a woman or have red shorts on still not sure what the issue was. Went in needing my TPMS sensor fixed. (I also had a leak in my wiper fluid reservoir that I didn't tell them about) Picked up my car about an hour after with the TPMS light off and the leak fixed. They filled up my wiper fluid and didn't charge me for any of it. I will be back for sure. read more

I was scheduled for a wheel alignment and the SOB was giving me a hard time about where I parked my car in their EMPTY lot, which I was going to move after I checked in. I needed an oil change on my Honda Hr-V and the tire warning appeared on my dashboard. I was able to make a appointment within 24 hours. I spoke with Julia when I arrived and she courteous & helpful, then she immediately had Jose work on my vehicle. I waited & in less than 40 minutes the work was done. The oil was changed and my tire pressure just needed to be taken care of. I'm a regular customer and continue to receive top of the line service from the Firestone staff. read more

It saddens me to post such a negative review, as I trusted my vehicle to this establishment for a few years, since I stopped taking it to the dealer for mandatory warranty service. And I have been a client of the Firestone Company for decades. However, it seems like the technicians [as I'm told, the company thrives by hiring unskilled trainees] were doing minimal work on my car for quite some time; making me pleased because the repairs weren't costing me a fortune. At some point though, I should have realized that recurring check engine lights could not all be harmless or glitches. And that culminated Friday, after having brought my car to Firestone the previous Sunday for an oil & fluid change + courtesy check: My car broke down Friday, all over Queens for multiple reasons (radiator broken/the trained techs alerted me that "someone" had apparently tried putting a sealer into it; fluids not topped off, which Angel told me "could be true, but not possible that all the coolant could be used up"; battery terminals completely covered in gunk, something that said "checked" on my 4-day-old receipt; and nearly a dozen computer messages that went ignored over years. Sad to say, but these guys did me very wrong. Seems like all they did were tires and sometimes brakes. read more

When I said to the manager that the car will not clear a center post lift and that he needed lifting pucks to raise the car on a twin post lift he got nasty and told me to let them do their job. Anybody not willing to listen to a customer and get as arrogant and condescending as he did should not be a service manager. I brought my Jeep in for the yearly inspection. They called me about 2 hours later and told me it failed inspection because of a bad steering wheel leak. When I questioned him he said didn't you notice any leaks or noises? I said no the car rides fine. I had a bad feeling about it so I took my Jeep to another mechanic who is well known in my area. It passed inspection with no problems. Firestone in Levittown wanted to charge me $1200 to fix something that wasn't broke. I'll never go back there again nor would I ever recommend them to anyone. I called them for an oil change appointment even though I was told by my other friends that they are pretty bad with services specially to minorities. Long things short, I got an appointment for oil change, showed up on time, parked in front of the shop to ask where should I park. As soon as I step out of my car, the mechanics yells at me saying "don't park there, find another spot, and he point me next to another van that was parked there. When I parked there, another mechanics shows up and says "that not where u park, that's not a fucking parking spot". After the second mechanic Spoke to me with the same attitude, I drive right town to a different shop.never taking my business there. And I highly recommend it taking ur business there. They charged me $600 for all new tires (keep in mind I'm placing my trust in them, idk anything about cars) and then I bring it home it's already driving weird. A month later I bring it to another place and they tell me my front wheel is LOCKED and IM MISSING A LUG NUT. I'd like to start this review off with the fact I have been going to this firestone for a while with three different cars. I use to love coming here and always felt great about the service. I've never had a problem until they recent changed management. They completely over charged me for what I needed done, they have tried several times to up-sell me on "things that need to be replaced" I have had the same procedure done before with another car and it was literally double for and they tried telling me all of a sudden I had a nail in my car and I do check my car daily before going out. I truly believe they sabotaged my car to make a sale. I'm highly recommending you see other options before going here, you will only get a headache, be over charged, and possible have them sabotage your car. I have been having a problem with my right rear tire lately, as it loses air and needs to be filled every other day. Obviously there was some kind of slow leak but being busy and also having a portable air tank in my trunk, stopping to have it fixed was not a priority. But, with the cold and snow of Tuesday and seeing this place as I drove by, I decided to see if they had time to help me. I explained my situation and my car was immediately taken into the shop. Within minutes I was told there was a nail in the tire and it could be fixed. I was also told the tread on my tires was beginning to get thin, which I already knew. To his credit, Bill did not try to sell me tires right there, but he said I would need new ones soon. My tire was fixed quickly and I left with a good tire again and a quote for new ones. Great service and quick! I had two flat tires which required a towing to this place, conveniently close to where I am residing. We dropped it off in the wee hours of the night while it was closed and we're pleased to find it still there in the morning when it opened. The guy there, Angel specifically... was professional and knowledgeable. He gave us our options and we had two new tires on there in about 2.5 hours on a busy day. Up until about 5 years ago I used to take my vehicles to the Firestone in Levittown (across the tri-state indoor market) for most of my repairs and automobile services, because the front counter guy provided good service. Since he left and they brought a replacement, it has not been the same. For the last 5 years I avoid taking my vehicles to the Levittown location because their poor customer service - unfriendly, rude, and unmotivated to help! These guys just don't care about their customers! It's unfortunate and extremely inconvenience for me, but I've been driving twice the distance to the Firestone in Merrick, for service. Much better people to deal with, complete night and day between the two locations. I went back to the Levittown location recently out of desperation. Got a different front counter person, but unfortunately received the same poor customer service experiences. I will not give my business to this facility, until there's a change in management or their guys get proper customer service training! read more
