I walked in on a Saturday afternoon for a simple tire rotation. The guy explained it was going to be awhile, but I could make an appointment fot 1 pm for the following day. Great! He was very helpful and accommodating. I was impressed. I returned on Sunday at my scheduled time. It took more than hour for a tire rotation. I'm not a mechanic, but even I know that's too long, especially with an appointment. The guy from the previous day was not there. I watched the Sunday crew walk around, take phone calls, and just take it easy, while their service bays were full of unattended cars. Hmmm... not impressed. read more

I was wronged by the Firestone complete auto care 105 Eastchester Drive High Point NC. I have been trying for over a year to get results. March 22 2019, took my car for the yearly inspection, stated my brakes were bad. I had no indication of this I did what the manager told me to do--take the car home and park it, call when I could get the brakes fixed. The brakes failed in the parking lot, I hit their building. The manager lied, saying I was told the car wasn't safe to drive but I took it anyway. A 75 year old widow would be that stupid ? Well what I lost because of his lie, my car, hundreds of dollars in rental cars, lawyer fee for the citation(had a perfect driving record), my car insurance went up 52 dollars. On a fixed income, no family to help me. I lost my husband, then 4 months later my son 2 years ago. How can a company be so cruel to someone who trusted them. If you are a HPU student do NOT go here! They will rip you off! have 2006 Lincoln. After leaving my car on campus over break it wouldn't start and after having it jumped I know I would need a new battery. I went to fire stone to get it replaced and was charged around $300 for the parts and labor. Seemed expensive but didn't think to much into it. Afterwards they recommended an annual check up for like $20 and I agreed. On the check they said a bunch of stuff was wrong. The quote they gave me was for $1277.88 with about $700 parts and $500 in labor. I obviously wanted a second opinion so I went to AutoZone. They said looked up all the parts and priced everything listed at $171. They only referred me to a mechanic and estimated he would charge about $80. I was thrilled! Today I took my car to the independent mechanic and about half way through got a call from him saying that all the parts I bought with the exception of the spark plugs were working fine. So I returned the rest and got back a little less than $130. He then lowered his quote to $60 since he was doing less work. So for the $1,277,88 quote given to me by Firestone only a little over $100 was necessary! Firestone is unbelievable scam artists. They attempted to charge me $55 in labor for putting on anti freeze. They find unnecessary issues and exploit unknowing college students. If anyone at Firestone reads this know I am reporting you to the better business bureau with a copy of your quote for parts, labor, and copy of AutoZone prices for the same. read more

I took my Jeep here once for a State inspection. The day before I gave it a performance tune-up, and it was running fine. The mechanic advised me it had failed the emissions test, but could be fixed with a tune-up. I took my vehicle directly to another shop that specializes in tune-ups and performance analysis. They analyzed my Jeep and said it was right on the numbers, and should have passed inspection. They printed me a copy of the results, and I returned to Firestone. Firestone re-inspected it and came back and told me the headlights were out of adjustment. By this point I was ready to punch a wall. I authorized them to adjust the headlights, and they broke the adjusting screw device. That was the last straw. I told the mechanic to give me my vehicle, paid for the failed inspection and vowed to never come back or recommend this location to anyone. read more

They get one star for answering telephone. Husband called for price on mounting and balancing set of tires. They asked if tires were new. Told them tires had less than 2000 miles on them. Their response, "Oh no sir, we only mount new tires!" I guess they don't need the business. read more

Took my suv here for an oil change, tires & to look @ some concerns another shop tried to sell me on. The staff there was extremely friendly & quick to get me in & out without an appointment. I didn't feel pressured to buy anything like @ the dealership. Would definitely recommend this location, I will be returning. read more

They kept me informed once each step was completed. They did say that I needed an alignment and they showed me the alignment test on a paper copy that they gave me for my records. So far they gave me no reason to look up anyone else so I'll be going back to them for anything and everything. It seems that everytime I go there, I have an issue. Even small ones. Between not getting phone calls that my vehicle is ready for pickup, or their trash still left in the car (I have to throw away the steering wheel and floor protector), or simple lack of communication as to what the issue is, I am finding it hard to justify bringing my vehicle there anymore. I would not recommend coming to this Firestone to get your car serviced. Went here to get my tires rotated and aligned, come out with my front tire making loud sounds. Went back to ask about it and all I got was a nonchalant: "it will probably do that until the tires wear evenly"...but gave me no details on which tires were more wore out or anything. A month later, my tires still have the same issue. Also during that same visit, I was told that my engine belt was worn and needed replacing. Come to find out (after taking my car to another shop) that my engine belt was never replaced and instead, it looks like they replaced a belt in my A/C. I went in there for an oil change on a Suburban that is 10 years old. They told me that it needed a upgrade oil which is synthetic oil. I have taken this car to the Reynolda Rd. Firestone in Winston-Salem and have always gotten the basic. Since my husband always takes this car I was not sure and the salesperson told me that the car was to old to take the regular oil, that is incorrect. Now one of the girls in the office went over there with a coupon and the exact same thing had happen to her with an old car and they were trying to pressure her to spend more money.
