This place has gone down recently. I used to use their service alot several years ago. Had an appointment early one morning for a pre-purchase inspection. Waited 20 minutes for store to open along with several others standing outside in the cold. Worker told me he was late cause they changed his schedule. Decided to leave car and keys in dropbox. Received call later that morning- AC compressor needs to be replaced according to mechanic....$1,300.00 worth of work. Part under warranty. Go back the next day to have work done and guy tells me they will do work but keep car until warranty company pays THEM. I told him heck no. Took car to Firestone on Siegan with paperwork from, get this, FIRESTONE sayin I need a new AC compressor.....they tell me nothing wrong with my AC compressor. I now have a new go-to car care center....on Siegan. Stay clear of the one on Burbank IMO. read more

Had engine trouble on a rainy Saturday afternoon before Christmas. Stuck in traffic on the bridge for an hour... they were willing to try to help me out. I was able to drive in and Mike squeezed me in to check out and clear up my issue. They were very helpful when the other 6 I called in the area were not even willing to try. I received inaccurate information that I feel was an attempt to railroad me into costly repairs. When I brought the car in I asked for the serpentine belt to be replaced. When I said the belt came off and needed to be replaced, I was told that it was probably something else because belts don't just pop off. I replied to that skepticism by sharing that the belt has been worn for years, I picked it up in shreds the day before, and also assured them the belt popped off. I received a call later that afternoon telling me the belt popped off because the compressor locked up and the alternator needed to be replaced as well. In addition I was told about 5 other things that would total over $3k on a vehicle worth MAYBE $7k. I asked how much it would take to just drive it off the lot and was informed that the compressor and alternator would need to be replaced because the belt couldn't run with the compressor locked up so the belt would come back off (~$1,700 repair). I asked them to return the car to the parking lot and paid my bill. Luckily my dad could make it into town to double check the diagnosis and found that EVERY pulley was spinning included the air compressor that was "locked up" and a simple replacement of the belt would get the car running again just fine. Im glad I got a more reliable secondary opinion because these predatory practices could've resulted in me making rushed financial decisions that would impact me in the short and long term. read more

I made an appointment to get an oil change. They got the job done but plan on waiting for at least an hour. I found a coupon for a $25 oil change but ended up spending right around $50 because they said the type of oil my coupon was for doesn't work for my car. My fault. Overall I would prefer a shorter waiting time, especially since I made an appointment. The staff was very friendly. read more

I was on a trip back from Florida and stopped at this shop to have the alignment checked on our car, as it was pulling and I had purchased a lifetime alignment many years ago. Upon explaining that I had a lifetime alignment and the issue we were having, the "service advisor" immediately told us they needed to investigate the problem before he would perform an alignment and it was most likely that we needed new tires. Shortly after the tech pulled the car in the garage, the advisor told us that we definitely needed new tires and asked us if we want them replaced. We declined and told him that we would have them replaced at our normal shop back in Dallas and that we just wanted the alignment. 45 minutes later they told us the was car ready and the alignment performed. The advisor went over the alignment check paperwork, not the post alignment paperwork, with my wife and told her that the pull was only because of the tires like he originally stated, going so far as to show the alignment check paperwork stating everything was in spec when it was clearly not. At some point during all of this, as I was sitting with our children, I overheard the tech ask the service advisor if he needed to perform the alignment and the advisor told him, "No." Giving them the benefit of the doubt, and not positive the tech/advisor exchange was about our car, we went on our way. Immediately, the car started pulling again. So I called the shop and ask if an alignment was performed because the car was still pulling and all of the paperwork we received only showed an alignment check. The service advisor made excuses and said that the alignment was performed and he must have forgotten to attach the post alignment report. Bottom line is that our advisor was just a tire salesman and as soon as he knew we weren't buying tires, he had no intention of honoring Firestone's lifetime alignment. read more

I bought firestone tires for my car and purchased roadside coverage so any flats could be repaired for free. This morning I came outside to a flat tire, which I filled up with a little fix-a-flat and brought over to this location. They called me back and said they wouldn't be able to fix my flat tire because of the fix-a-flat. The woman I spoke to was very nice and did everything she could to help me get the price down. We had initially agreed that they would put a new tire on, and give me the flat tire to get repaired elsewhere. They called me back to tell me that because Im using the warranty on the tires they can't give me the flat tire back. So now Im being charged 65$ for a new tire and I can guarantee that my flat tire will probably get pawned off to someone else since it is fixable despite what they say. To scrape a little slime out is not a big deal and its definitely patchable. I will NEVER go through firestone again for my tires. The only reason they get two stars is because the receptionist did everything she could to help me. read more

Great experience! I always get nervous when dealing with car repair, but this place really helped me out. I got a bolt in my tire and they were able to patch it for a great price. They also went the extra mile and drove me home while they worked on my car and then came back to pick me up when it was ready. Best treatment I've ever gotten in Baton Rouge. read more

Last weekend, about one hour into the trip between New Orleans and Austin, our car started sputtering and the check engine light furiously started flashing. It was Sunday, so most mechanics in Baton Rouge were closed. We held our breath, preparing to get taken for a ride as we pulled into Firestone. Immediately when we walked in, the employees at Firestone were helpful, attentive, honest, and didn't pressure us into any decisions. They understood that we needed to get back to Austin ASAP, and they took the car into the service bay immediately. The mechanics fixed the vehicle within 2 hours and had us safely on the road lightning fast. The price seemed fair for the difficulty of the fix. If it weren't for Firestone, we would probably be stranded on the side of I-10 right now. read more

Extremely knowledgeable, courteous, efficient and honest. Have done business with them many times with multiple vehicles in our family ranging from new tires to mechanical/ electrical repairs. I called in at 12:00pm to see if they had an availability for me to take my car in a little later that day and they said " yes absolutely, we can it back to you by the end of the day". I show up at 2:30pm to drop off the car and the douchebag I talked to on phone let's me know that "a lot of people came in and dropped off cars, you should have came in earlier. Can I get the car back to you tomorrow?" In the most unapologetic manner imaginable. Firestone constantly has several hour waits to get anything done and half the shit you ask to get done doesn't. They have officially lost my business and I highly recommend never giving money to these people. read more

We are a regular costumers at this location. We buy tires, get oil changes, and other repairs from them. They also repair our flats and change out our wipers, etc. We believe they are trustworthy and do quality work. If you don't have a coupon, they have a military discount. read more

I brought my car in to get four new tires. When I picked up my car, the entire drivers seat was damp. Upon reporting this to the person at the desk, he stated the service workers are supposed to put a towel or mat behind them when they get in your car. This person did not, so my seat was damp from his sweat. Disgusting! I will never return to this location and now I have to pay to have my seats cleaned. Great experience. I have used this Firestone for my company car maintence and tires and have always been pleased. I recently brought in the car that my teenagers use because the oil lamp and tapping noise recently appeared. Fearing the worst, I brought in and dropped off for a diagnosis. Was called later in the afternoon and informed that it was not a major engine repair,,, but did require a couple of minor repairs. Called later in evening to come pick up. The costs were very fair,,, and the Service Clerk and the Technician were extremely helpful. read more

Typical tire store doing underhanded things to gain more business. Brought my vehicle to have the rear tires replaced which were so bad that the sidewall was peeling off in chunks. They call me saying that my front tires need to be replaced because of excessive wear on the inside and I need an alignment. Explain to them that I don't have the money right now to do all of it and to just replace the tires I asked to be replaced. They call me to tell me it's ready and explain that they put my spare on because they felt it was better than one of my remaining tires. Kind of weird since my front tires weren't that bad. Picked up my vehicle and did not inspect the tires as I should have because I was in a rush. Get home and discovered that they didn't replace the rear tires. They replaced the front tires instead of the rear tires. They knew how bad the back tires were and knew that I would have to replace them immediately. They basically scammed me counting on me not looking as closely when I picked up my vehicle and it worked. Obviously, I won't ever be bringing my vehicle there again. read more

My rating is based on a bait and switch quote that I received on the internet. I selected the store location and priced tires and printed a quote with the store location on it for the tires that were on special. When I got to the store the sales person said the tire was discontinued. When I asked about the quote for his location, he claimed his store inventory wasn't available over the internet for security reasons. I asked if there were any at the other stores in town - he promptly checked his computer (through the internet) and said the closest store that did was several hundred miles away. I have purchased from this store before with reasonable results, but I doubt that I will go back. I don't give people with deceptive sales methods a second chance.. read more
