I needed a car battery and an inspection. Thought I could get both done at once. Unfortunately, the following problems occured: 1) easy to schedule an appointment online but 2 days in advance is the earliest you can book 2) online price quote is WAY different than the walk-in price! 3) they changed the battery first. This reset the computer codes and prevented the inspection. Now I must drive 100 miles before the inspection can be done. I left feeling I'd been totally flim-flammed :( read more

I came in today to get my oil changed and to get my car looked over, been hearing a funny noise. They were not busy had maybe 3 cars there. I was told it would be 4 hours until they could look at my car. So i said well can i just get the oil changed and the guy with a smug and rude tone said "I told you lady, it will be 4 hours". Ok, I took my car to another shop. They looked over my car, fix the nosie and did my oil change in 1 hour in and out. They did a great job and know how to treat people. I have returned to this location for additional service. There were some issues with the work completed and some that was not completed. I returned the following day. The manager and service representative were attentive, polite, and efficiently took care of the issues as well as performed additional work they suggested. Stay Clear, have receipts to back up everything I am saying. I have been a Firestone customer since 2005 but no longer. I loved the fact that warranty's and receipts could be seen no matter what location I went to. I am on the road a lot and use to like the fact there were locations everywhere. I never had so many of the same problems from one location but instead of trying to find another location I just do want to do business with Firestone at all. Let me start off by saying they use remanufactured parts but charge prices that are more than new for them. Not only that they are getting the parts from places like Autozone where the part warranty is actually longer than Firestone actually offers to it customers. I have had my water pump replaced twice and charged for it both times. Their warranty is 1 year or 12k miles. Water pump failed at 10k miles but 15 months later. Also had the brake booster fail 3 times in the same amount of time. Hid some fees in my bill for both warranty services. Personally, I get the impression they add on other things to cover warranty work so I no longer trust them. I have a newer car (2013 Tahoe)that they offered me a free oil change on but I was terrified to let them touch it so I changed the oil myself, that's pretty sad. Especially after I inquired about my air not being as cold as it used to. Service guy proceeds to tell me it's probably the compressor without even looking at the car. I was seriously confused. Took it somewhere else and they added Freon, all is well. They advised me worst it could be is a leak and they will check it at a later date for free as they added dye to the system. Anyway, now Firestone wants me to pay to do another big service but I refuse, I will get that done somewhere else also. You lost a loyal, trusting customer Firestone. Still was willing to do business with you even after you took 3 months to replace my sister's engine, the same location was at fault. Took you 1.5 months to give them a rental also. This was all after we had to prove you were at fault because once again diagnosis was made without actually looking at the car. Good luck to those who choose to use this franchise. Edit with detailed info: Invoice 121995 was 3/5/15 Miles 169,628 Water pump and brake booster. Invoice 298792 was 12/21/15 Miles 174,393 steering gearbox and also fixed the brake booster again. Invoice 152897 was 6/26/17 mileage 179,966 second water pump and third time working on the brake booster charged for it. Invoice 182,518 was 10/7/17 mileage 182,518 recommended ball joints for a noise my car would make while turning the wheel. Took it to another mechanic shop because it did not sound right and come to find out it was the steering box again from invoice 298792 8,000 miles ago. With this last thing they tried to pull I no longer have trust in your company. It makes me question whether or not other issues were really true. Makes me wonder if we ever had the oil leaks they claim we did because I never saw oil on the floor in the garage. Or if our water pumps were ever leaking like they claim because I never saw antifreeze dripping from the vehicle. I operated with a level of trust that has now been broken. While I understand that your policy is 1 year 12,000 miles there has to be something done about the quality of product you are installing in customers cars. That's 3 major parts failing in under 12,000 miles, and 1 of them failing twice. I can understand if it was something that happened once but this is a trend. Do NOT go to this store. Making an appointment is useless as they do not keep it or care. Dirty waiting area with ants around the coffee station. They have a fixation on replacing your windshield wipers at 10X normal cost. Not enough chairs in waiting room. I think the mismanaged workers forget that there is a GLASS wall and we can see that they are standing around joking while moving in slow motion. There isn't anyplace in walking distance to go to while they take their time on your car. I would think ANY place would be better than this. I would rate a ZERO star if this was an option. read more

I had these guys perform a tuneup on my truck a few months ago. I knew I was getting up sold, but I did it anyways because my truck rolled 100k miles. Today I went back, told them that I have a faulty wire in my taillight. Originally the guy at the desk said 125 for diagnostics... then the guy said they could do it for 89...for diagnostics... after I walked in and told them what the problem was. The manager and one technician stayed behind to make sure I got a battery installed. We ran into minor complications, no fault to firestone, and that manager handled it and just had my freaking back!! Have you ever been into a business for the first time and knew after your first experience that it would be your last? Well, that was my experience at this particular Firestone "Complete Auto Care." I brought my company car in for service because I was given two choices of shops. Firestone was the closest to my home, obvious choice there. From the beginning I had to leave my vehicle, mind you a company vehicle in which I utilize to do business all day, everyday for approximately 3 hours for an oil change and inspection. Ok, I understand, maybe you're busy. I am too. I proceed to pick my car up and drop of my personal vehicle, which I was told before could be serviced as well. "No problem." However, refused to use my oil and oil filter. The same products that have been used on my vehicle since day one. Obviously, I was willing to pay. I understand company policies providing customer supplied parts for liability reasons. I do. I managed an auto repair facility and was a service writer for 8 years for a company of similar size and length of business. But oil, and filter? Come on. On the screen you were going to use the wrong weight oil and probably an aftermarket filter purchased from your various suppliers, which normally would be ok but had you actually take the added step to see that there were open TSB's not use a standard 5w20 and instead use 5w40 full synthetic and use an oil filter from the manufacturer due to casting issues with the block, tour liability would have been a lot less using the products I was providing. The bottom line was that nobody went out of their way to make me, the customer happy. I was hardly greeted both times entering the facility. Each time no eye contact was made and the staff was visibility eating at the counter, mind you 3.5 hours apart lol. Overall customer experience was subpar, communication was minimal, the warm fuzzy, "We are here to help you was non-existent!" Find a shop that cares about the end user and their experience. One that makes your business more important than selling their bulk oil. Update: Went in a second time to pick up a coworker that dropped his car off for a state inspection. The incompetence and complete lack of knowledge is astounding here. The vehicle is a 2019 with 1,300 miles on it and the service advisor helping at the time was I insistent that the car require a full inspection. News flash: Texas requires safety only inspections for cars that are less than two years old. There is absolutely no reason you need to hook up an OBD reader and a 5 gas on a brand new car. A complete stranger at or their company resources and time and or ours. 2.5 hours later vs a quick visual inspection and brake check. Seriously... train your staff better. Incompetence is not appealing. read more

Extremely shady business practices. I witnessed them intentionally misrepresent a bill to a fleet services contract driver, having performed unauthorized services. After an exorbitant wait time I found out I was scammed and was not provided the services I requested upon arrival but was given a rather useless subpar service in its place. And don't bother with their customer services because the regional manager, Matthew Coffin, is complicit in the unethical business practices. Learn from my wasted afternoon and missed wages having to sit in a waiting room for hours for a service I could have gotten done at one of those "5 minute changes" places in a fraction of the time. My faith in Firestone has been renewed. Yesterday as I was leaving church I was told my rear driver side tire was low. I stopped and looked at the tire and noticed it was almost flat. I proceeded to the nearest gas station to get some air on my tire and look for the issue. Wouldn't you believe it, on the way to the gas station I run over another bolt this time with my front driver side tire. Unbelievable!! Anywho being Easter Sunday I was going to have to wait until Monday. I walked in to Firestone knowing I had warranty on my tire as I had just replaced it 2 months ago at the Round Rock Firestone off of Old Settlers in Round Rock (the experience there was dreadful!!). The guys at this Firestone were extremely nice and helpful and even offered to fix the only tire I had not bought from them (bought it from Disocunt Tire) for free. As it turned out my rear tire had a nail close to the sidewall that they could not repair safely, however true to their word they replaced my tire and fixed my front tire. What??? I walked outside to make sure I was at a Firestone. Indeed I was. I was blown away by their service and committment to customer satisfaction. I had sworn never to go back to another Firestone and now I dont think I can go anywhere else. I want to Thank the entire staff at this Firestone for making this experience one I will never forget. I used this place for a brake service and oil change because a friend recommended it. I was helped from start to finish by Randy who was the most helpful, informative, and just generally friendly person I have ever dealt with in an auto-service place. I'm usually getting told an oil change is six hundred dollars and I need headlight fluid and that you need a complete fluid flush once a week or your car will explode. So, I was super impressed. He was nice. He did make suggestions about what I might need for my car, but was not even a little bit pushy. He told me that I didn't actually need everything I thought I did for my brakes and saved me some money (which I happily put toward other services I did need) and they finished in less than the estimated time. Overall, I am thrilled with my experience at this shop and for a woman, that is a really big deal. read more

We brought our truck here for an alignment. We were told our alignment couldn't be done unless we had some work done to remove sever rust. That the components were rusted together. That the cost would be $1600. We said "no thanks" Went and got another opinion and the other place said the rust is minimal and they aligned the truck, no problem. (Sad thing is that I told the service attendant that my father retired from Firestone as a district manager before he passed away 6 months after retiring. My dad gave his life to this company. Then to be treated like that was crushing.) Maybe because I mentioned my dads loyalty to the company (50 years) he was offended and thought I was trying to get a break...idk? read more

I am always informed on my car, they inform me of what is going on, why I am in need of repair, and have been surprised at the cost of the repairs which for the most part have been reasonable. Took my car here for a noise it was making was told it was the struts and mounts total cost 1100$. I agreed and made an apt. I was told it was going to be 3 hours. 6 hours later i get a call they got the wrong parts in so i needed to leave it overnight. I said absolutely not i will be back in the morning at 8 am. Came back 4 hours later pick up my car get in and guess what its making the same noise!!! Now they have no idea why and I have to wait again for them to take apart my car again. Went in for an oil change on a Saturday afternoon. Despite having four techs sitting around doing nothing, the oil change took 45 minutes. After instructing them that I only wanted an oil change, they still removed my air filter and attempted to up-sell me on changing it (something I had done less than 10k miles earlier). The following day, I was driving back from Houston when the engine light came on. After hitting the local parts store, they told me it was the air intake that was causing the error. Upon inspection, I found that the air intake hose had been badly damaged (most likely from the removal of the air filter) and the sensor on the air filter was broken. $200 of parts and repairs later, my car is now repaired and functional again. I will never use this shop again and encourage you to steer clear if you have the option. read more

Another example of the great service the guys at this location provide. So my daughter nearly totals our 2016 Honda Fit. I have it towed to Firestone on a Saturday night. On Monday or Tuesday my insurance company goes to inspect it. Brian, the manager here, and the guys get it on the lift and find more extensive damage. I call the insurance company to get their guy back there for another inspection. He doesn't show up for days. Meanwhile my car is taking up one of their bays for over a week. Insurance company wants to use refurbished parts and Brian says no way. Had to take the car elsewhere. When I ask Brian what I owe he says, "Nothing." C'mon Brian. You've had that car for over a week and have spent hours just getting it on a lift and tearing it apart. "No charge Ken." That's just the way these guys do business. It's why I keep going back. I know other places would have charged at least $100 just to put it on the lift and at least charge for the hours they spent on it. Not here. read more

My husband, Jaime Ibarra and I experienced the very scary "Death Wobble" in our Jeep yesterday, came home and looked around at a couple local auto repair shops. We decided to try Firestone, and when we called, Steven answered the phone. He was kind, courteous, informative and got us in at 7am (opening) the next day. We were really grateful for the professionalism and quickness of service. When we arrived, Steven greeted us warmly, and informed us after checking with the mechanic that the Jeep's initial check would not be able to be done until about 8am. My husband and I killed time, came back and heard the diagnosis. The mechanic and Steven showed us what part needed to be replaced, explained why, also what else could be contributing. We were quoted an extremely fair price, and when we brought up some other concerns (about our leaking heater core and a/c), Steven was honest in the pricing, and advised us against paying for the long hours of labor to take apart the dash, when it's a minor problem, and even offered some other options to help battle the pooling water. Steven even took the time to explain to us how to replace some faulty parts in our back door. Steven helped find us a great deal on four new tires, a savings on alignment and everyone we interacted with was incredibly professional and nice. Steven went above and beyond the call of duty, and we will be returning because of him. read more

Worst place to ever purchase anything. DO NOT buy the lifetime alignment, it's a scam as they will never do the work. In addition the word "appointment" is something Alex the person working there does not understand the meaning of. I have made tow..TWO appointments and they still cannot service my tuck. I got talked down to by Alex, who told me that it's normal "like doctors offices." That is the stupidest thing I have even been told, Alex is worst customer service rep I have ever encountered. I went to Firestone to get a oil change and a tire repaired on my truck , to make a long story short they had a problem with my tire that I brought in to replace the bad one, apparently state law mandates the tire be less than 10yrs old in order to replace. Jordan the mechanic was very helpful and went out of his way to help, he saw that it was very unsafe for me to leave on the tire I had and made sure he fixed it on his own time, I was very impressed with his concern and professionalism.. Thanks Jordan! Also the lobby is very clean with a very friendly atmosphere, also fresh coffee and bottled water(free) . The oil change took less than 30 minutes even though they were super busy, also they're were no pushy sales tactics. I will be back. read more

I really can't speak highly enough of this store. I went in knowing I had a few issues and that there were probably more. They diagnosed the primary issues as well as additional ones I didn't know about. The icing on the cake was when they called to let me know that the engine mounts they had ordered both didn't fit right and they would have to get one from the dealer but they would only charge me for the original cost they had quoted me. I have spent approximately a $1000 for an alternator and battery that was not needed. I still have the same issues and now have to take my car to the dealership. I will always take my car to this Firestone location!!! I have my inspection and oil changes regularly done here, as well as repairs. The whole crew, especially Jordan who is the manager, are friendly, give prompt and personal service, and not just looking to drain as much money from the customer as they can like other car repair shops can be. I am not very knowledgeable with cars, and I had two instances where because of my lack of knowledge, I could have been ripped off, but Jordan and the guys were honest and patiently answered all questions and did not charge me. For my tires, they did the labor a couple of hundred dollars cheaper than two other shops I went to in the area. I will always bring my car here and highly recommend!!! read more

Nick, their sales guy has always been super helpful, came in there after an 8 month ordeal with another repair shop where they botched several inspections and promised to fix the items they didn't catch the first time around only to recommend new expensive repairs every time I gave up, fixed the things wrong with it and paid for a new inspection from them... so here I am in May, just finished school and stopped tutoring for the summer, hoping to finally have my car back and had finally given up on anything working out with the other repair shop so had Jiffy lube adjacent to Firestone inspect my car, and they only find one thing wrong, the parking brake wont hold. So I go to Firestone at their recommendation and not only can they fix my rear brake system (which was the culprit) for a reasonable price, but they also get my oil changed, 2 new tires and an alignment for a very reasonable price when the sales guy recommends checking on Yelp for coupons (I did and there were a few for just about everything I had done) he then, (because we'd been talking and I was stressed because neither of my summer jobs would pay me until July and I had rent and daycare due twice before then) recommended applying for the Firestone credit card to give me some time to pay it off (6 months no interest if paid within 6 months was the perfect deal for me). I didn't think I would get approved because of my student loans but applied anyways and was approved! I couldn't be happier with this Firestone, their sales staff, the mechanics and their financing! I got my car back and it has run well the past 2 months (well for a 200k+ car) and I've just had to take it back today for a flat repair and they fixed it free, as well as figuring out where the oil leak in my engine is and finding out why my throttle doesn't stay open and my car dies, granted I did need another oil change so it's not like they just took it on themselves to help me out free of charge but that's honestly what it feels like when I go here, the mechanics are helpful, sales is friendly and lets you choose which repairs you need, and the corporate structure hasn't trashed the integrity of anyone working there. Although the repairs to fix the oil leak are beyond what I can afford (although reasonable, and my oil drained dry in less than two months so it's definitely needed) the sales guy was ok with me saying I'd like to tough it out. Although I might try it myself or just buy motor oil in bulk for getting to and from Round Rock and make heavy use of the bus system my Senior year. =) read more

I had the pleasure of working with the GM Joey when I got there and am very satisfied with the level of customer service I received and my experience overall. There was one unforeseen issue that happened after my initial fix, but I was able to bring it in right away with amazing customer service and timing to take care of it. Joey was very informative and genuine. He got my car fixed and ready to drive sooner than what we had initially forecasted. My car is running better than ever. Even though it can suck to have car problems and as a consumer I hope for the least amount of damage as possible when I take my car in, it is very comforting to be sitting in the waiting room at places like this and to hear the front desk calling other customers back to let them know that the issue with their car was a disconnected line, it has been fixed free of charge and their car is ready for them. read more

So I'm having a bad day and suddenly my tire pressure monitor comes on. Not that a tire needs to be checked, but the monitor itself is not working. Great! Can my day get any worse? So I stop in to the closest Firestone. It's 5 pm on a Friday and its freaking packed! Great! I tell the guy at the counter what happened and he says it will be an hour and a half wait. Freaking great!!! I turn to walk out and he offers to call the store down the road. I'm too bitchy to be nice so I tell him I will find someplace else. As I'm getting in my car he runs out and tells me he has a guy that will check it now. The repair guy runs out and grabs my keys and off he goes with the car. 5 mins later, he brings it back all fixed and says "no charge". Great! No really, I mean it this time! Amazing!! I've used Firestone exclusively for just under two years and I'm a bit sad to say I've had enough. Before I took my car in for an oil change I decided to check my oil level only to find that the engine cover was cracked and dipstick tube was half gone. I arrived before my scheduled appointment since I knew that I'd more than likely need a part. The gentleman upfront acted like I didn't know what I was talking about and said they'd take a look when my appointment time came around. Even though I was one of three in the room 15 min after they opened I let it go. When I got my call back they quoted my struts $1100, alignment $89, spark plugs $140, and $300 for the tube. He said there was nothing they could do about the $300 because those parts were brittle and could have broken on their own. Overall, the attitude of the guy up front was what really made the experience much worse. He made it a point to make me feel like I was an idiot for not know the name of the part that was broken and an idiot for trying to point out that only Firestone has serviced my car. What was more upsetting was his trying to sell me all these other services after speaking with me that way. Goodbye, Firestone! I'll be reading reviews for other shops now. read more
